I didn't build a normal audax bike because THIS is my bike...i don't have cash to build a specific audax bike...and have no need to as this works perfectly for what i need.

I didn't want to use racks and panniers either...the centrally mounted frame bag will have the heavier items in which keeps the weight more balanced than front or rear panniers.
They seem to work well for the millions of people that use them though. Reinventing the wheel perhaps?

The bottles are great for me...less weight than a front pannier...perfectly positioned to just reach down and pull them out...only a few inches forward of where a downtube mounted shifter sits.
Seems a strange work around, you could of put bottles behind the seat without drilling into your forks.

Tri bars also make perfect sense for distance riding and i'm sure you don't need me to explain why?
I know the benefit of tri bars darling, 100% of my riding is done on a TT bike... I also know how uncomfortable they can be at high RPMs and presumably you will be using a smallish gear, so when you're going 20 mph+ (anything less is a bit pointless on tri bars) you'll be bouncing up and down a lot. Then again you've got your bars quite high so you might not have any problems (have you done much testing?)... so that's probably not a concern.

I don't really dislike the bike, I just thought it would be fun to post it here. Although the colour is horrible, if you like it then who cares...

I might question why you didn't just build a normal audax bike with panniers though, but I suspect you were more interested in building it, than the actual practicality of it.

oh, and the bottles and tri bars are stupid. IMO.

2nd being seat tube length.

Top tube (effective/horizontal) is the most important measure and even that can be affected by different geometries.

The only accurate way to go is Stack and Reach, but so few manufacturers use it that no one even knows what it is.

Is it against the rules to say, for example:

"Dolan frame is finishing in an hour and a half"

or is that not allowed? thanks in advance.
