I'm in the middle of my first build, and what's doing my head in is that I have a heavy old peugeot frame, and a reallllly light resprayedsteel frame I used to have as a hack. But as it's got dead vertical dropouts I'm stuck. Heard talk of replacing dropouts? Anyone got a pointer?

Couldn't be buggered shelling out about £70 for a good one only to use it when i'm at the track.

I recently came off, wasn't hit just had an old chain that came apart. My helmet saved my head from a kerb, I'd be dead without it. Still, the broken collarbone was good for a nice big hit of morphine.

I'm in if you can find a large...they all seem fit only for the wiry cyclist.

Just doing my first build at the moment, and one of the things I'm trying to do is make sure it'll be rideable on the track...anyone know the 'rules'?
I'm planning to run cinelli pursuit bars, about a 50-16 ratio, and at the moment, based on mixed info and a low budget, a non track hub (BB Lockring screwed hard on, riding with one brake, not planning on skidding...) . Guessing that for one aint gonna look too good for them? Sorry to keep posting annoying chat, we all started somewhere.

I was told you can use a BB lockring on a standard threaded hub, any experience of this?

What would be the best value hub to use? I'd like to build up some velocity's sometime in the near future, but am on a major budget..I'll be back in N1 soon if anyone is up for taking a n00b for a ride?
