Hello,
I have tonnes of Old Sevens that are just gathering dust - so I thought other people might be able to re-house these.
Loads of stuff from old UKHC to Grave Mistake / Lockin Out / Painkiller, to Mid-90s Screamo and some random indie bits and bobs in there. Some stuff I'm not 100% keen on parting with but drop me a message if you're interested in any of it and we can work out a price. Sorry I haven't priced them (just too many) however, most I'm willing to let go pretty cheap.
Bands - Fucked Up / Haymaker / Coke Bust / Sick Fix / Infest / Waste Management / Heroin / xCANAANx / Look Back and Laugh / Mob Rules / Extortion / Ikara Colt / Mystery Jets / Milemarker / Tragedy / Life Trap + loads more.
List of records here - http://goo.gl/ULLOH6
Pick up from Stoke Newington or Kensington. Happy to post.

I'd seen that about cooking stuff in a water bath with oil in the bag as well. However, I read TL's post that he just marinaded the meat in the vac bag and then griddled it afterwards. 48 hours would be a long time to cook a steak sous vide wouldn't it?
It appears I've read this all wrong. Must have water bathing on the mind.

I think it gives extra flavour and means you can use a dry griddle, which I find helps with crisping. I always marinade with olive oil but I'd be happy next time to divide in two and let you know the results (If I remember). But I think marinading in a vacuum does improve the quality, as does the length of marinade.
It's you that's inline for the Sansaire, I'm interested to know how you get on with it.
Buttermilk deep fried chicken this weekend and confit wings this weekend.
Fair enough - the article i read was here - http://www.seriouseats.com/2010/03/how-to-sous-vide-steak.html?ref=serelated

I now have the hang of cooking bavette, which is bargainous and incredibly delicious
This was last nights effort. Vacuum packed with slow roast garlic and thyme and extra virgin olive oil for 48 hours.
Interesting that you used oil during the vaccuum packing - i read that it actually doesnt impart that much extra flavour from the aromatics - have you tried it without?
Cannot wait to get my Sansaire Sous Vide ciruclator (kickstarter one). Should hopefully be here before christmas.
On another note, did some pan friend Onglet (Hanger Steak) from Meat N16 on Sunday - good stuff.

Both il Bacios on Church Street are average at best, their take-out is fine if you're hungover and can barely make it to the front door but otherwise you have no reason not to cycle to Sodo in Upper Clapton, where you will have a much better (and cheaper) pizza. Plus they have a pretty fine whisky menu. And amazing Tiramisu.
Have to say Tom, that I didn't rate Sodo that much. It could be so much better.
Has anyone eaten at Trattoria Sapori on Newington Green? Whats their pizza like?
On a more general level, best pizza ever eaten... go!
For me - best slice ever - Di Fara in Midwood, Brooklyn, NY. Any one else been there? So amazing.
Best Pie I've ever tatste - Una Pizza Neapolatna when it was in the East Village, NYC.

I was just talking about this the other night. Who fucking knows. I'm fairly sure its the same people, both have good pies, but not the same menu. Weird.
Anyway - If its nice out (unlikely) express is good for sitting out front, if its shitty than regular Il Bacio is better, in my opinion. Both have great 'za and I've not really noticed much of a difference.

Problem was the girl who was supposed to tell us what everything was, struggled...
"Er, this is a sandwich, a sweet scone, a savory, brownies..." So awkward that we were like "oh ok. thanks"Three layer mini ciabatta sandwiches - salmon, avocado, cress
Three layer mini ciabatta sandwiches - goats cheese, peppers
Sun-dried tomato mini-scones with cream cheese and chutney
Sweet scone - pistachio(?) with cream, crusted with brown sugar, I don't really remember this because I inhaled it!
Mini passion-fruit panacotta
Chocolate brownies with cherries - perfect texture
Something else I'm forgetting...or maybe not...Seems like they need to train the FoH on the menu!! That was really my only qualm with the team when we went... they also sent the wrong dish.
Anyway - my friend is the pastry chef there so I'm glad to hear the food was pretty decent!!

Went to the Modern Pantry on Sat for their afternoon tea.
Really great food.
Mostato was fucking delicious, despite being hungover, I could have easily sunk a bottle.
Moscato D'Asti 'Bricco Quaglia' 2011,. La Spinetta. Piedmont, Italy.
Tea Library was a wank.Service was terrible. Absolutely lacking.
How was the pastry selection? What did you eat?
I actually had awesome service there when i went, really nice bloke. Although he did mistake a granita for a gratin.

I back this 100%. I would like to add a carnitas burrito from Taqueria CancĂșn and a tofu ranchero* super burrito from Pancho Villa into the conversation.
While we are at it, I should mention that the south-west corner of Dolores Park and a can of Oly complements any of these options nicely.

- Used to be vegetarian. This is the best one of these in that town.
I love the Veg burrito from El Buen Sabor on 18 and Guerrero

Depends on what you want, some of the rarer stuff I'd obviously like a bit more for, but 2-3 quid or so for the other ones... drop me a message with which ones you'd like and we'll work it out.
