Let the chicken sit in some ABC sauce for a while, add chopped onion, bell pepper, chilli, garlic and ginger... Add noodles when cooked through for a minute... Boom! 10 minute supper...
We do this all the time when we're feeling lazy, mostly with soba noodles...
Sounds dope, what ABC Sauce do you use?
Ideas:
If the chicken is already cooked: cold salad, make a dressing of fish sauce, lime, chilli, pinch sugar, oil. Shred a load of crispy veg real fine (you can put it in iced water to get it real crispy). Fresh leafy herbs too. toss everything together. some crushed peanuts on top.
If chicken is raw: bash up some garlic, chilli, lemongrass into a paste. Fry briefly in wok, then add tin coconut milk. Poach chicken gently in this (you can then remove chicken from there and griddle to char the edges, works great with boned thighs). Then season the coconut sauce with lime, fish sauce, herbs, add veg if you like toss in the noodles to coat, serve chicken on top.
Hey, Thanks for this!
I basically made the salad last night with the thighs, so thats out of the question, Option two sounds good as I have some coconut milk in the fridge I've been meaning to use for aaaaaaaaaages!
Looks amazing but I think a little bit too spendy.
Theres a great joint for Paper Dosa's in Covent Garden called Sagar...

Good to hear all the positive reviews of Foxlow! Will definitely be purchasing a gift voucher for the sibling.
Also, I want to make the banana / PB / oat bars from here (combination of three of my favourite ingredients), but dunno where to find coconut oil - it's not in the Stoke Newington Morrisons or Whole Foods.
Any ideas? Or do you reckon I could get away with just using butter and adding some desiccated coconut for flavour?
http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2013/nov/30/10-best-oat-recipes-breakfastHi Jim,
If you're near Stoke Newington, the Tesco on Green Lanes (just off Newington Green) definitely stocks it. I don't think it's with the regular oils and quite possibly with the 'Asian' foods (if you go in, turn right, it's the last aisle before the fruit and veg on the right hand side). It comes in what looks like a jam jar and isn't cheap (about £5) but should sort you out.

Finally found this thread again! Would it be possible to pop over sometime to browse and buy or is it more send a list and see if you've got it?
Hey Chris,
You can definitely pop over one night this week - I've moved to a new place though now, just off newington green.
Did I ever tell you that I once saw your missus riding that track frame I sold you a few years ago down Bayswater road? Think I freaked her out by shouting 'get off my bike' or something like that at her!

So essentially we’re all in agreement that 99% of police are...
- Completely inept at understanding the law they supposedly enforce.
- More than happy to profile members of the public based on their outward appearance and demeanour with no real justification.
- On a complete small-man/woman trips, asserting their power uneccesarily and towards the wrong people, most of the time.
- More than happy to profile members of the public based on their outward appearance and demeanour with no real justification.
- Pricks.
I genuinely think there is a psychological deficiency with people who want to police others.
- Completely inept at understanding the law they supposedly enforce.

Hit up Tayyabs last night. I have to say, aside from the grills, I wasn't too impressed. The Nihari was swimming in Ghee and had been cooked with too much chilli, in my opinion, the Karahi Chicken my other half had was just ok, and the service was shite. Cheap though, at £48 for 4 of us.
Any other good pakistani joints in east? I usually go with my Family to Southall...

Did you say something to them? You should have done.
