there was talk of a sunday ride, as reparations for skipping polo.
just wanted to mention that i've got a bit of a sunday ritual that begs a posse.
the quayside market has a latino/colombian food truck that serves decent burritodon't know about you brits, but in 'merica, burritos and bikes go hand in hand. Always.
similarly, a cafe i haven't yet seen, serves free 'montena de nachos' with the purchase of a pitcher of sangria or 5 beers.
Fans, anyone? -
aw shucks, now i feel pretty celebrity. the anatomy lab is across the street, and if i put the bike on the railing i can watch it longingly, from behind the cadavers and curtains. spoke notes welcome : )
i, too, keep my eyes peeled. have spotted a commuter-y guy on a white 52cm-ish genesis a few times. and then a few odds and ends locked up around northumbria. one greyish/blackish non descript (risers, one brake).walking through monument, and if i'm not mistaken, usually locked near new bridge st/northumbria design school? i dont think its a bike i've met at polo.

great riders, great city. thanks for having me.
some pictures of sat and suncheers, kids.

spotted a red klein, with risers and front brake locked by the northumbria law school/business school (a few times, now). also spotted of.the.time riding up shields, on my way to exams.
won't be around this weekend, but the one after that (21st) may be primetime for a repeat effort to the coast. a fellow in my program who came along on a phil-tour hasn't made the trip yet, and these post-exam weeks are our best chance at getting out.

built up and done, been on a few rides with phil, but will be off the grid till midway through the week of the 15.
i haven't played polo before either, so no worries.
and happy belated, matt.

shipping and insurance on the px-10 was a bit much to ask of sister. the resources are in place for me to buy a new whip, but i get too distracted if i start fantasizing/shopping.. so its on indefinite delay. it'll come down to a moment of desperation when i'll walk up to cycle centre and just order a pista. ugh.
post script, i'm most likely still headed to the thermals show, around 9.

ack. please don't push yourself on my accord. im beaten and spent on school, so its a stretch for me, too. orchestrating is proving difficult, so i'd never take it as rude. im just getting out tonight because wednesday is the only morning i can sleep in for the next week or so.
as for no friends, thats my problem, not yours : )
will be throwing a cake-fiesta on my patio when weather/school permits. i'll let you know when im sound of mind to do such.super appreciate the sentiment, but if everyone feels as shit tonight, i'd feel worse if you pushed yourself to turn up.

still bike fail on this end. lectures and labs keep me tied up during rcyb hours, so i havent been able to drop in and grab a frame. the weekend ride would be with the gracious loan of your polo bike. ; )
this is my first full weekend in town, so hopefully i'll be able to cobble something together soon. also, stipend hasn't arrived yet, so its been a tightrope of Books vs bicycle, in anticipation of the cashes.
