Thought I should mention, the picture of the bolts up there are some nice titanium ones from Compass which probably cost as much as your lamp holder. The ones I used were from a Shimano STX mid-range canti, were much less elegant, more like these:

@jambon I did the same. I used a similar part from an old 90s cantilever brake like below. Called a 'brake pad eye bolt'. Only issue is that they are longer than the rack ones and the thread does not go all the way up to the top so you need some spacers. But works fine.

Bought this for my wife's (46th) birthday. She used to work there back in the mid 90s; climbing on and abseiling off the roof checking the tiles and seals for damage and replacing them if required. She had seen it at the Christchurch (NZ) Brick show at the weekend, but balked at the price, so I fibbed that I had to go to work the next day and went to get it. Since then she has been looking on ebay, so hopefully we don't end up with 2 of them.

We still have a tray that the cats can get to but they never normally use it. Our cats are locked indoors overnight and so there is a tray for emergencies if required. Only time they used it recently was when we gave them some dodgy chicken in the evening and they pooped and puked in the tray which was handy for cleanup. It's out of the way in our laundry, next to a toilet and they have to go through an internal cat flap to get to it (so we can keep the door closed) so they obviously remember where it is and how to use it. Otherwise they just go in the neighbours veggie patch during the day.

New Zealand Police has tractor. Unfortunately it is just for promotion events, not epic chases across fields.

A colleague told me she was going to be "ooooh", as in Out Of Office, when she was going on holiday.

Thanks, they're actually 2 sisters - the one in the sun is Hocus and the one curled in the bed is Pocus. Hocus is a little bit smaller and has a bigger left ear tuft, Pocus has a bigger right ear tuft but they are hard to tell apart from a distance.

Welcome to Christchurch. It's still a bit (lot) knackered from the earthquakes but getting there slowly.

I’ve got one of those, great bike. Those Marin Lite brakes are a bit fiddly to set up though.

Visitor to my workplace garden. Very friendly and with the hardest headbutts ever. Surely this must hurt the cat? Our two headbutt our faces when we are in bed and I often feel it must hurt them. This one was launching him/herself at my hands.

Last night's commute home was 32degC and sunny. This morning's was 10degC in the pissing rain. Couldn't find my gloves or overshoes. Forgot spare pants and socks. Now commando and sockless and the air con is confused by the outside temperature and making my office fucking cold.
