Fair enough. How is it to ride? I wanted to test it at Evans but being a track bike, I was only allowed 10 meters of shop space...first 3 seconds of fixed gear in the log book for me :)

Powdercoating the mattest deepest black there is is my plan at the mo. might have to make do with an electrical tape job for a month until next months student loan comes through.

The frame colour is fine, the hubs I can live with. I'd change the seat and grips and get rid of that top tube thing and yeah I don't mind it.

Maybe they were trying to encourage more girls to get involved with the - "hey look even I fall off and I'm rather good at this fixed gear malarky' - approach? no?

Or maybe they liked the fact that she was laughing after the fall, showing that falling is not a big deal and that it's all a lot of fun?

As much as i love Ted, the video is really strangely put together. Almost all her tricks are overshadowed by the other guys'.

I actually thought the same thing, specially when she's riding down that hill and the guy is wheelee-ing down passed her..

Just seen one of these, is kinda nice but it ticks way too many boxes, and has no straps on the pedals, but is surprisingly light.

"a bit slow in the head" Note that I didn't say stupid or dim or dum or whatever, slow in the head (to me) is a light hearted way of implying that, something I could have said to someone in person with a smile and expect a witty retort ( I do like someone who can stand up for themselves and doesn't need an armada of chivalrous forumites to do the honours ). first time i see those gipiemme wheels on a bike.
my lbs used to have one lying around.
i was asking myself whether to buy them one year ago.
but i didn't have a good solution for a singlespeed cog on a campa freewheel
and i didn't want to disassemble a cassette.
those wheels look pretty good and yes it's probably the first time that stem matches
the bike it's mounted on.
still have a problem with those aerobladed carbon forks...

How much weight can those wheels support though? I'm assuming this is purely for track use being the nub that I am.

Was looking at that for my first fixed gear. Decided against it though but deffinietly a looker.
I think props for survival skills that go beyond Bear Grills' are in order.
