asm, there's no need to weld, they use those forks with hexed flip-flop-flap steerer, you can make it straight or under an angle if you want to go in circles or practice track standing ;)
bubble wrap is not an option - too loud, and my bike is already loud because of imperfect chainline, do you want to hear about that? ;)

No its just so you can adjust the tension on the cable
ye but, no but, ye but, no but.. it is to adjust the tension but the rubber is surely not purely just to improve the grip with your fingers, it most probably protect the frame if your front wheels unexpectedly turn all the way to the right na? :)

I always love that Condor graphic, quick advice - change the chainring bolt on the Miche crankset, they're pretty weak as I discovered recently, the bolt seemed to be made out of butter and consquencely need to drill it in order to removed it!
other than that, it's fine.
Bolts you say? Do you mean the ones that attach the chainring to the spider?.. seems like they require some special tool... like a huge flat screw driver :D

im pretty sure i saw you in the evans on the cut some time in the past week or 2. i remember see the bike and commenting on it to a collegue of mine
That's right, got my lockring loosened on my way back home just few days after getting the bike from condor and so I was looking for help coz I could not skid :D

just my another miserable plan, to make a fortune from track stand competitions :)
really? I think it helps with getting to know each other (you and your bike) :D. A beer.. sorry, a better feel of balance...
If you have a good balance at low speeds it helps you to maneuver around cars in the traffic. I don't like putting my foot down somehow, especially on the fixed, because then you have to bring your foot forward and lift the bike a bit to let the wheel spin etc.. too much :D -
Hmm I understand that Sheldon's technique and believe it should work as long as the outer circle (where the teeth are) of the chainring is pretty round, but what if there is no room for the bolt adjustment? I've got miche condor stuff (crancks, chainring) and the inner edge of chainring fits sniffly in the spider edges, should I then just get out a file and create some space there?
