The ones Decathlon sell aren't made by Shimano. They may even be own brand. They're marketed as "BMX freewheels". I've had one for months and months, it's covered several thousand miles and still works fine.
Cheers buddy i'll look into that one and see how it works..
white industries if shamano doesn't do it for you.
yeah i heard white are the mutts nuts, and are serviceable too, also carry cartridge bearings so no sideway wobble in freewheel..
I have a new dicta 16t 1/8 if any good to you :-)
never heard of dicta what are they like ?
ACS CLAWS 4 pawl. Near indestructible and cheaper than the White industries one.
i'm allways interested in good quality for money parts, do you know any more about these are they cartridge bearings serviceable etc.. ?, where can you get them from..
Just as another quick note i may be going over to dark side on the SS, in getting another rear wheel built up with the Shimano Alfine hub (8 speed), wild punt but if anyone has one they don't get on with or know's of one going cheaper then the new cost then let me know.. (example of this can be foudn on the genesys web site looking for the Genesis IO ID)

i'm a tad on the heavy side and destroyed one already, the stanard simano one's don't really last that long, was just wondering which one's are a little more sturdy, also looking for a ouder freewheel clicky sound if possible...
got my full susser, now working on my ss MTB for off road, then i'll be working on a road bike poss ss to start with :-)..

sorry buddy will have to leave it for now.., it is what i was looking for yet some front forks have turned up which i have been looking for for the lat three months so i could do with these over the pedals..
however if you still have these when i've purchased the forks and can get some spare cash again i'll give you a shout..
-
-
I'm looking for some front suspension forks with remote pop lock option (i think only Rock Shox & Marzocci do this option)
Ideally 100mm travel, steerer tube has to be of a good length (190mm +)
it's to fit a genesis IO SS frame so think it's 1" 1/8 size...
so shout if your looking to sell some :-)
Cheers,
Bubba. -

8 Days ago i would of said yes please. But its been that long since i've had a tab. And i intend to keep it that way.
Merry christmas though. It's the thought the counts.
Well done lad !!.., i gave up on feb 14th 08 and have not had one since, from 20 a day to none - on will power only..
the only thing which i now find annoying is all the train stations where poeple smoke outside and walking to work where everyone is now ou on the street smoking lol..
it takes at least 6 - 8 weeks before the real "thinking of it" starts to fade, but it does slowly., there are times that you could fold but go and buy somthing that you can show for the money instead of blowing smoke rings...
keep it up !

I may actually get a road style bike if something really catches my eye, but just as a heads up what type of frame size would suit me ?
height wise i'm around 5ft 10 / 11, and from a MTB bike most frames a 17.5" suits fine and the odd frame of 19"..
i know that the geometry is completly different with road bikes which is why i ask..
cheers

I have a 17" 2003 Orange P7 with Marzocchi EXR pro (air) forks, Magura Louise brakes, Mavic EX729 on XT hub rear, Mavic xm117 on cannondale fire front with Schwalbe super moto tyres, Have been running it as an 8 speed, but havent ridden it for ages, you're welcome to have a look at it and make me a sensible offer if it's what you're after
Yes deffo interested, do you have pics ?, not being quite up to speed on all the makes of brakes, are these v-brakes or disk (hydro or cable etc)..
I've got a large charge plug in good nick for £300 if you are interested.
thanks for the info but i'm really after a MTB to start with then i'll save up for a road bike after that..
ive got a 18" 2004 Kona Fire Mountain running SS, disc brake up front, and rear V brake. lemme know if this interests you at all!

budget wise, well not sure all depends on what the spec is..
i can buy new a genesis IO ID for £999 (simular price for charge alt version)
or i can get a Genesis IO on sale at present for £299 new (rrp 2008 £499 2009 £599)i can go one of a few different paths, real cheap nasty SS to get me out doing it, 2nd hand SS with some upgraded bits on or brand new with prices above..
honestly i'd like to pick somthing up for around £300 - 400 but like i said i know good spec bikes don't come for nothing..
looking forward to somthing turning up :-)

Was walking to london office last week Thursday and glanced over the road and a nice red frame fixie comming down the hill past Cycle surgery bike shop near Kings Cross train station, must of been happy as you were whistling away while overtaking the bus :-)..
then i kinda got lost at the way back from lunch as saw around ten different ss road bikes, could not keep up with colours frames wheel types lol... perhaps there was a meet going on ??
