Has anyone seen Kin-Dza-Dza? Watched it last weekend (on the basis of a monster IMDB score). I've never been so confused by a film - couldn't work out if was genius, complete shite, or somewhere in between.
And definitely don't wat Let Me In, I died a little inside. If you'd not seen Let the Right One In, it might be enjoyable but as you have, don't go anywhere near it. Just like the Funny Games remake.

Did anyone here take part in the London Duathlon last year? I've been thinking of entering this year as a training target. In theory I think I could "finish" the Ultra distance but definitely not breaking any records on the way... Not competed in one before so interested to know if I stumble across the finish line 6 and a half hours whether I'll be firmly last?
EDIT: Just saw last year's times and "yes" is the answer. I'll give the Challenge distance a go instead.

I think the "slightly twisted" theory might also be along the right lines - I used to get a numb foot on the MTB before I changed my pedals
DJ - sorry, didn't mean to lower the tone - you're a cnut, I hope you spend the afternoon blumping the spaceship, licking duck butter and sucking on a shitsicle...

Hispter on cream/beige frame with Brooks this morning on Lewisham Way/New Cross Road. I overtook you because you'd been crawling along past Goldsmiths and I was late for work, I wasn't Cancellara leading a break-away. Please don't then try your best to overtake me while I'm slowing for a bus pulling out, then weave pointlessly in front of me trying to work out how to get past another bus, before jumping onto the pavement to make 12ft...

Recently picked up a set of Mavic Ellipse wheels. On my way back last night I had to slam the brakes on to avoid a taxi cnut doing a U turn. Must have picked up some metal on the brake pad on the front wheel and it's gouged two silver lines down the braking surface.
Any ideas how I can repair this, or should I just get used to idea that this is likely to keep happening?

Changing focus slightly, but just saw this - motorbikes were only allowed in bus lanes on an 18-month trial from 1-Jan-2009. Does that mean that from July they won't be?

Didn't want to start a new thread so....
Not going to name them for the time being, but got my road bike serviced at my LBS over the weekend. I left the house on it this morning and after pulling my feet out of the pedals on both sides within a couple of miles, realised that they had left them at their loosest setting.
I decided to carry on, taking it slowly, as I was already running a bit late for work. I hadn't changed gear (the OKR's pretty flat) but when I did I was out of the saddle and bike to threw the chain and kicked me out of the pedals. I ended up sliding along the road on my shoes, tearing the rubber bumpers off and putting some pretty deep cuts in the carbon, with matching cuts on my shins.
After putting the chain back on and cycling to the office pretty tentatively, my gears are all over the place - much worse than they were when I took it in for a service.
When it happened, I was all for going back to my LBS and having a bit of a rant, but from previous rants I know this tends not to get you anywhere (maybe I'm not doing it right!). Any suggestions or should I just HTFU?
