these are the mudguards, they were on sale for about a tenner when I bought them too which was nice ;)
ye the forks do look nice but unfortunately loads of the lacquer is chipping off so i had to cover them in tape

I miss time trials, and I can't afford a whole other bike at the moment. Maybe I'll keep the bits it's built with at the moment too, so it can have tt and non tt modes.

make the steerer longer on those forks, i really want them!!

i only saw someone with this done on a folder the other day and thought it was some weird sort of belt drive thing.

so it looks like i'm going to need to dissolve out a stem.

how much solution do i need to make and what do i need to put it in? i was hoping to be able to make a small amount of the solution and stick it in a jar since i've chopped most of the stem off anyway.

ye, i went back afterwards and they sorted it on the spot. kind of annoying though, i really like the shop but one of the mechanics seems to be a bit shit. oh well, all's well that ends well i suppose.

Ok, so I got my a headset installed in my LBS yesterday BUT when i got it home to take a good look at it I noticed that the crown race seems to be on crooked. It looks like one side is not touching the top of the fork while the other one is. Anyway, before i ring up and get them to fix it I just wanted to make sure I was right to be annoyed since there was trouble getting it out of my old frame and I was pestering them yesterday.

56 or 58 i'd say. you'd have to be a strange shape to want a 54 at that height. i'm a similar size to you (a tiny bit smaller) and i got a 56 and it was fine.

that's probably not a brake hole, i think there is often a strut from the bars to the fork on that type of bike. like this
