i had the same problem so earlier today i just used pound shop super glue. i had tried hair spray but that didn't work, but the glue seems great.

cool, i'm putting together a polo bike this week. the frame is bent but it'll work. thought it was 501 but now i've discovered that it's plain gauge steel. it's also got quite a bit of rust especially on the crank arms but sure i suppose you don't need anything fancy for polo.

was wondering if anyone here played polo. i went up this morning to take a look in the phoenix park but i slept in so i was too late.

ye, i was considering that, the chainstay is bent. i would definitely bend it if the frame took 700c wheels but i think i would prefer look for another frame now as it's in pretty bad condition.

just noticed that the frame is bent so i suppose that's the end of that. thanks for all the responses though.

still have to collect the frame but when i do i'll pop my wheels on and see if any brakes i have will reach it.

just got given an old viking frame but it takes 27" wheels. do you reckon 700c wheels would fit or is that a stupid question?

alright, just got my hands on said viking. now to start my first fixed build (been on a langster so far). as far as i know it's reynolds 501 and i reckon it looks like about 21". nothing too fancy but it should be fun to build.

i knew that'd be the first response. i have a voucher for wiggle though and i can't think of anything i really want/need at the moment so i'm just looking for something to spend my money on.

i've seen lots of chain cleaners like these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Cycle/7/LifeLine_Chain_Cleaning_Kit/5360024028/ for geared bikes. just wondering if anyone knows of a similar tool that'll work without a derailleur.

tonight i saw my friends bike locked outside the mercantile in dublin, it's a yellow and grey mbk frame with a matching saddle. it was stolen from trinity college but when i saw it it had been converted to fixie. it was brakeless with unchopped riser bars with no grips and a 42 sugino messenger chainset ( i think), the tyes were matching yellow too. if you have it please pm me, it has serious sentimental value, i should have stayed with it, but the police woudln't do anything til the person who owned it identified it, please give it back.... PLEASE!!!
