Where did you get the pro's from? I ordered a pair from wiggle and a pair from Parkers and they both cancelled my order due to no stock.

The Ritchey's are 31.8mm clamp, 44cm C-C. They have small wear on the paint at the front. I have tried to show this in the pic but I only have a shit camera phone. All the glue has been removed at the expense of a sore thumb, so apart from those two marks they are in very good condition.

Reynolds 531 (handbuilt, lugged)
Reynolds 631 (Dawes Audax, tig welded)
Reynolds 853 (Raleigh Special Products, tig welded)

I know that I like steel MUCH more than aluminium, and I know how much I want to spend.

"Not notice any difference on the road", LOL? With high pressure tyres and many different road surfaces and pot holes... not to mention that you actually sit in the saddle on road bikes, I would argue it makes more difference than MTB. MTB is more to do with your shocks and saddle than frame material.

How much do they cost? I can only spend a couple of hundred on the frame. Reynolds 853 frames aren't much more expensive than 531/631 but are a fair bit lighter.

Cool, i'll take some pics tomorrow then. The frame itself is undrilled, although the forks are drilled...if you're going to run it SS would you be wanting to run a rear brake? Not sure if you'd be able to drill it really, although there are 'keirin' style clamp on brake available for the rear. I'll take a pic of the rear bridge anyway!
Nah you can get a bit chopped out and have a square boss put in I am pretty sure. The normal bridge tubing isnt strong enough for the brake bolt.

Sorry by track frame I mean horizontal dropouts. Will be for single speed/fixed flip-flop. Preferably in bad condition (cheaper) because I think I'll be having bottle cage bosses added which will damage the paint anyway.

Why 853? Cause if I'm building up a bike with good parts I want a good frame to go with it. 953 is too expensive so next best thing.

Horizontal top tube, horizontal dropouts, any condition. Top tube should be 54-55.5cm.

Only just registered here but I live in Bournemouth and I've done the ride out to Bransgore loads of times, always seems to be a headwind past the airport though.
Heh, commuted from Bournemouth to Ringwood for 3 weeks straight including the day when we had flash floods. The wind was northerly probably all but 2 days out of 15. The ride is a bit boring cause it is completely flat.

The only "hill" there just before 8km is the bridge where you have to go over the spur road.

You tightened it too much that you broke the threads on the star nut, or you loosened it and the star nut dropped down the steerer tube?

Primera in Bournemouth charge £20 for fitting headset. They also tried to charge me £15 for removing an old-style bottom bracket.
