shit sorry. i think that a decent pair of shorts will help you out a bunch getting to paris without a ruined bum crack. the first time (2years ago) i ever got onto a bike i got a pair of 20quid dhb shorts. i caught the train to lancaster and rode back to preston (about 25 miles) my arse killed.
i spent about 65 quid on some assos shorts and started to build up the miles, no arse pain since, same seat.
i now put in 100mile+ training rides in one of a few pairs of sugoi shorts (i dont pay for) that cost around £120. no problems as all. i would really suggest getting some shorts of decent quality.in my opinion.

shit the bed...im waiting for the people at cycletowork to produce my voucher for a very carefully worked out (to the penny) bike that i managed to scrape under £1000 so i can harvest parts from it for my racing bike.
fingers crossed as it is the campagnolo groupset i am after, other items like the USE seatpost might have to fall by the wayside. balls. -

spend money on shorts. 90quid or more. cheap ones just do not cut it in my opinion, assos or the like.
then go to a shop where they let you sit on loads of bike seats, i have heard that some places have a gel thingy that you sit on, it does a mould of your crack and bingo they can see which ones will be the best to look at.

these will be for my racing bike. i am going to get some wheels built with record hubs and open pro rims. but a question: which one of the open pro do i go for?
regular
CD
or ceramic. are the ceramic worth the extra cash?these will not be ridden often by the way.
and before you ask my weight is not an issue etc with a lightweight wheel build, i dont weigh much!
thankyou

thanks for your comments fellas, i do agree about the matching wheels, im thinking of getting another built up for the front, only budget was stopping me! but if all goes to plan with a few frames that i have for sale ill be rolling in it! ha.
it rides really well, the first steel bike i have ridden for any amount of time, i like.

For sale a black dolan track frame with ITM carbon forks, alpina headset, cinelli 50mm stem.
Size: seat tube 52cm c to c. top tube 58cm c to c.
condition is excellent a few small chips in the paint here and there as expected, no dents or anything. there is one slightly larger chip in the forks where they are drilled for a brake.
it has the original decals under black stickers - easy to remove.
free: mash sticker (wow!) shitty no name seat pin. "the power of the riff compells me" sticker on top tube.pics:
the frame only is 130, so...i would like £95.
i am in manchester so some of you could pick it up, but if you are down in the big smoke or elsewhere i think 15 quid additional for postage would do it.
Make me an offer.chris

Cheers, its a ribble from the early 90's built by terry dolan. i recently sold another one on here that was even better (but too big for me), purple.
yeah, im going to get a white seat and grips from tokyofixed asap, going to build it up now with what i have then change them. -

A friend of mine has a pair of Mavic Ksyrium SL premium with a Campag Body for sale.
before he puts them on ebay he thought he would offer them on here.
They have had 500 miles use.one of the spokes on the rear wheel is slightly bent and has a scratch, no effect on the working of the wheel. everything else is perfect, true, bearings like new still.
these sell for £600+
i think he wants £400 ish.PM me and i will pass on his number.
cheers, chris
