Leaving my house on my roadbike, fully clad in lycra on a sunny but chilly morning; i get pushed to the side of the road by 2 white van cunts who shout 'puff' as they speed past. Stopping at the lights near the bottom, i rolled up to his open window and promptly emptied my freshly filled water bottle over him, that had been freshlly filled from the fridge, with sticky energy drink..... chilly.... asked if he'd ever been fucked over by a 'puff in lycra' before, then rode away at speed to the sound of his screams. Its the little things that make life sweet eh?

tubes do actually vary in quality quite a lot, those nutrak ones are pretty pants. Conti or vittoria from bucket thingy sound like the best options. recession busting prices!

and if you knew how much they cost us shops u'd probably be even more pissed off.

I have a truing stand but its hardly portable im afraid

A truing stand would be a good idea, really makes the process much easier. But not really worth buying one for single wheel builds. Take it slow and it should be ok.

ive seen quite a few couriers on fixies (cinelli vig. was one example) and loads of the shops have bling fixies in the windows... Looks like it might be coming...

Was in there yesterday, shop is pure porn. The guy who makes them is the third generation and is training his son to follow. He pumps out 125 bikes a year by himself! Proper sweet little setup with luuuurvely bikes. An 853 track/road frame will set you back about 1600 euros, with custom choices in every area. Well worth a look from anyone wanting a truly unique frame! Expensive but i think worth it.

Looks like they've kept with Trek's usual design trends, they're both ugly as fuck

If its a fixed wheel it needs to be relatively tight. I would say generally 6/7 full turns from the end of the htreads (if the spokes are correct size!) Dont compare it to a geared bike wheel.

grinder straight to the key part, straight on. Falls off in two seconds trust me. Knew someone who bought a bike with one on and didnt have the key.

ive taken a pitlock off in 2 seconds with a portable angle grinder, theyre good but as everyone says not full proof.
