Muharrem Sener pics:
"He would often go to the stations he targeted dressed in smart clothes and sunglasses in order to avoid suspicion that he was a thief. Once he had cut the cycle locks he would then casually put on a cycle helmet along with cycle clips to blend in with other commuters before he cycled away".
W.A.C. - Unfortunately he did it for 6 years before the law gave him an actual bashing for it...
Edit - "Prosecutor Charles John-Jules said although Sener was caught committing crime repeatedly on CCTV he somehow managed to remain free." mental.

@hanged_up +1 - although no matter how much I will it not to happen it usually does.
Although I agree that charging down the street like a crazy person doesn't usually bode well for either the cyclist or pedestrian, its pretty difficult when you are moving with traffic and peds just jump into the street with the ipod on full blast - one day, they will be got, by bike or motor... the side exit of London Bridge station is a real nightmare for the ipod-clad, latte-carrying commuter... especially if its early and the ped in question hasn't yet cleared the fog of sleep from their eyes.
By the by, yesterday a bus dumped a passenger on the road and he wasn't even at a stop! My nose still hurts from that little collision.

Where were you positioned? Had you taken the primary position in the lane?
Was in the bike lane on the left side of the road. The main lane (to my right) has an arrow indicating you can go straight ahead or left. Key was I was in front and to the left of him (along with other bikes) and he decided to pull around us to make the turn in spite of the fact that we were heading off.
Next time I think I'll just sit in front of the line in the middle of the main lane.

I am beginning to wonder if some drivers wear glasses that make cyclists invisible:
At a red light on the Embankment (along with a few other cyclists), a maroon merc is behind me indicating left to turn on a green light. Lights go green, everyone sets off. Jerk off in the merc decides to pull round and in front of me to make the left turn. Narrowly misses taking the back wheel of the rider in front and I am staring at the side of his motor. Give him a "polite tap" on the window and wing mirror. Idiot acted as if I had just teleported to my present position out of the ether!I had been sitting in front of him at the lights for a good minute or so! What the fuck was he thinking?

PJs: Great ride, thanks for being patient and showing us all the London Lights!
Dillon: good to meet you buddy. To all the other people I met: hope you loved the ride as much as I did - take care all.Really sorry to hear we had a man down - get better soon buddy and here's hoping it isn't all too much of a headache!
I bailed around 2.30 - work and a big night out tonight were on my mind. Kinda wished I had seen it to the end now, tho.
Baby blue fixie with front and back aerospokes in white this morning around 9/9.10am on Aldersgate Street... nice ride
