Bought this for my second fixed gear project.
Frame and forks only.
Have bought bars, cranks and the saddle's coming.
Cinelli, Campagnolo and Brooks. Was wanting to build it up with vintage Italy parts, but seen a Brooks Colt saddle and couldn't resist.Needing stem, seatpost and pedals. I missed some lovely vintage Campagnolo pedals with Campy straps and cages on ebay last night. Oh well. If anyone has an Itallian make stem, 100mm or less and want to sell, please let me know. Loving the build, but just wanting to ride. Thankfully, I still have my other fist project to ride in the mean time.

I'm new, have posted some. Mostly lurking. Its a good forum for picking up bits of info, kudos to all inputing. I ride an old raliegh charlton I picked up via the aptly named freecycle. Drive train ground to a halt quickly after, therefore became a fixed gear conversion. Really enjoy riding her around, nice geometry, slightly too big but comfortable.

One technique I use for when heading straight on at a junction with multiple lanes:
Left lane: turning left only
Right lane: heading straight onWhen heading upto the junction I sit to the right hand side of the left lane for two reasons.
1 the traffic in the right lane can get past you, meaning when you go through the junction there is less or no traffic behind you and taking the pressure off you and the traffic behind you.
2 The traffic in the left lane does not undertake you, thus sandwiching you between two lanes of traffic. They need to slow down anyway for their left turn. You are controlling the flow of traffic in that lane and thus defending you position on the road, but being a courteous road user at the same time.
