You could get to your local drinks meet thing in london (if London is where you bide) and swing a leg over consenting owners bikes to get an idea of what size would suit you. I have a conversion and it is 59cm, a bit big seeing I too am 5 10 but, I am comfortable on it. Saying that, my current project has been a smaller frame at 57cm.

You'll get to chat to like minded folk at the drinks too that are happy to talk bikes all night, Im sure.

Bob Jackson have quite a long waiting list so scour the classifieds for one your size if you are desperate to get on one asap. Bob's are the bees knees!

I feel the best way though is to build you own. You will learn shitloads about bikes in the process and will be left with a bike that is truly unique and your own. It can take a while if you are still learning about sizes etc.

The soma rush getting plugged are nice frames too. Solid bikes.

oh tigeruppercut - it's £70 per straight respray but mine came to £270 all in with pickup and delivery, lug lining, decals, and a small frame reapair. Oh and removing the BB's / headset cups / crown races

I have heard that Avon's Skin So Soft range is in fact an amazing midge repellent.
I dont have a suggestion for a route up at Inverness, but if you are flexible and could change start point, Fort William along to Mallaig would be a great route. Costal route with cracking views of islands like Rum, some of the nicest silver sanded beaches you will ever see. The scenery is immense. A childhood holiday spot so I have a slight bias I suppose.

Me and my mates are planning on getting up the highlands for a fixed gear tour. You might hear about it once plans are sorted.

The frame is looking good man. Where did you get the seatpost tube replaced? I have a dent in mine and want it sorted. Is it standard issue to take a dented frame you want fixed to a frame builder or is there somewhere else that can fix it?
