thanks for the offer White flower, but by the time I have got myself a saddle, wheels, chain, brake etc etc I will be spending way more than I can afford.
If a back wheel alone will be 70quid ish, that would make that 220 and still nowhere near ready to ride...

p.s. No worries Jones, it was a lovely looking bike and I'm not surprised it got a lot of interest!

You guys are right, it would be great to build one myself, it just seems such a daunting process. When people list parts, I often have no clue what they are talking about. The idea of trying to buy them and assemble the thing seems crazy...

I'm trying to get my first fixed gear and wondered what old bikes you had lying around, no longer used and looking for a loving home. I lack mechanical skill and so am looking for something pretty ready to ride.

I'm after a fixed gear, frame size 56 (ish), ready to ride, in alright condition, with not total shit components.

An old peugot conversion or something would be great. I was after the Bianchi Beater Jones was selling the other day but lost out. Anything in a similar vein would be great...

Been looking on ebay/craigslist but not found much that wasn't stolen...

Budget 175 ish, but can stretch a little bit for summat dead good.

I know it's a bit of a long shot, but anyone got anything?
