Ah here mate, this forum is somewhere you can get a lot of helpful advice and encouragement... everyone's just having a laugh, there is a lot of jibing and slagging on here alright but if you take it with a pinch of salt you'll soon get into the swing of it, first post I ever made was a huge error, my own bike in Bike Porn...took plenty of flak for that one but if you're good humoured and just brush it off and join in the fun without being malicious you'll end up coming away from it with plenty of useful info and a few good laughs so the best thing you could do is retract the nasty comments re: couriers and take the hazing you'll be grand...the reason you got so much abuse is that a lot of people try to sell stolen bikes on Gumtree and the like with vague descriptions unfortunately almost identical to your op...noone's really trying to give you a hard time though.. it's just kind of funny..anyways if you're going to have a laugh at it then welcome to the forum and if not you'll be in for much more abuse I'd imagine...

I did not start the insults i just tried to sell a bike i did not realise how small minded some people can be does not help new forum members in any way so people new to the single speed scene would not stick around in my opinion,i would have prefered some helpfull advice instead of the name calling,

Don't be scared, to be honest the first thing I thought when I saw the thread title was that is was some gumtree shit trying to sell a stolen bike or a unipack, it's a description I see all the time. I think if Kingcutter had worded his OP a little better he probably wouldn't have got so much stick, however I'm guessing he sold it on the CTC forum so its not an issue now.

If you have something to sell, I think as long as you describe it properly people will either buy it, or ignore it if they're not interested..

I think the mistake was putting it in thefor sale first place lol but it is steel and single speed and i am sure i have seen those type of bars on a courier bike.

List the rims/hubs/cranks to give people a better idea of the build. a sticker is a sticker for £120-150 that's a good hack. providing the BB, headset and hubs are new happy days!

Thanks for your post i thought it was a good hack i think a few people on here have there head up there arse a bit which is not to helpfull to new people on the single speed,scene like myself and just trying to learn as we go along the head set is brand new and shimano 105 and the bb is also new,thanks again but now it's sold.

Just bought this for £50- 531 tubing thoughout-maybe respray and even gears? can't resist a bargain-missus going to whip my ass- though, might have to spend some time under the bed!

I got the very same frame in black the set post was stuck in and a guy at the local garage snapped the dowm tube getting it out,woodrup in leeds said they would replace the tube for 50 quid so i may get it done.

Yes one piece got them of retro bike 15 quid happy days don't think they are a major make but very light.

Thanks i have a friend that has a paint shop there was a Ferrari in there last week and this is the left over paint,as for the decals my other friend does those on his computer and he has a tool for cutting vinyl let me know what you want i will get it sorted for you no charge.
