Shit only just saw the stuff about Henry getting mowed down by the P I G's, hope he mends soon. Sorry I disappeared early guys was getting late and I've had a long ol day at work so far!
The ride was amazing, brief highlights for me:Cornelius and crabtree, you guys both have such a great sense of humour, keeping the laughs goin all night, and almost getting busted shortly after we sat down by the greenwich footpath!
Crispin glover and his crazy pavement mounting and dismounting!
Meeting so many cool people and everyone having such a great attitude and creating such a great vibe.
The two jobsworth security guards in broadgate, thanks for giving me endless ammunition to take the piss out of you whilst I was waiting for crazy exploding inner tube guy to fix his puncture.
Just about scraping throught 4 red lights in a row with pajamas hillbilly and a couple of others before realising we had left pretty much everyone behind!
The greenwich footpath......never has so much fun been had, by so many, in such a small little tunnel, awesome!
The trippy blue led lights, i'm sure I didn't take any acid last night.......did I?
Giving away a sesame snap mid ride, whilst almost hitting a bollard! great fun.
All in all a great night out and despite the mechanical gremlins that kept plaguing us, I really enjoyed myself.

then get a D700, unless you're a serious photojournalist for instance, there isn't much point in getting a D3.
in fact, just stop worrying about the camera, worry about the photo instead, my mate has been taking portrait of Cherie Blair, David Walliam, Gal Porter, etc. and already got some recognition base on some of the photo and were able to get a decent living out of it.
the camera he used? his old Canon 20D with the standard shitty 18-55mm lens, that it.
Or a serious sports photographer, or a serious action photographer. Or maybe a full time interior photographer who also shoots action sports , and various commercial jobs freelance (that would be me) who requires serious durability and the ultimate in high iso performance and high speed low light auto-focus from a camera that can only be found in a pro-body such as the D3?......With all due respect Ed I earn my living from my camera, I have been a professional for several years, I make a decent living from it, and I understand enough about photography to worry about the photo more than the camera. I've used most of the Nikon range at some point, currently using a d300 and have used both the D3 and the D700, owned a D200 and a D80 in the past.
Yes the D3 and D700 both have the same sensor and viewfinder, and high iso capability, however the D3 has the durability of a proper pro-body, superior auto-focus capabilities and a couple of other very useful bits that I can't be bothered to ramble on about, but if you are spending all day using your camera they make it that much more pleasant/quicker/enjoyable to use. The long and the short of it is, I know its about the photographer, not the camera, but no one can deny the creative opportunities opened up by having capabilities that are not present on a lower spec camera, for now though I will "suffer" my d300 until I have some spare cash for a D3. I respect what your mate is doing, if alot of the amateurs knew what some professional fashion/commercial/portrait photographers use i'm sure they would get a nice shock and worry less about what gear they have to HAVE!.......lets just say its not all hasselblad and phase one elitist shit out there in the studios. -

haha cheers man, I may or may not be down on the next tuesday, I've got a freelance job that could well be running into the late hours, if I can get away at anything resembling a reasonable time I will pop down for a bit of a ride. Really wish I could afford a Nikon D3 at the moment, think i'll be doing some hard saving next year!

all photo's now up in my original post :) posted at quite a low res (96ppi) for speedy upload, if anyone wants higher res copies of the pics shoot me a pm on here, fair bit of digital noise as I had to shoot at iso800 to get a half decent shutter speed, I need to bite the bullet and invest in a d3, the best don't come cheap tho :(

- Nikon d300 for making work and play time more productive and enjoyable
- Coffee and grub from franze and evans on redchurch street............................. for powering my work and play activities :)
- My first fixed gear bike for giving me endless hours of fun, exhaustion, and reminding me why I should never ever be without a bike again, truly one addiction that it is healthy to feed :)

it's not what I wanted to do but more than fifty on this ride would honestly be too many.
as I say, if people still want to do it and can wait a week I'd be happy to repeat it. Prefer that to a hundred people turning up cos it really would get out of hand for where we're going. Some very residential bits where stealth's required.
So is the dress code all black with adjustable lights so we can appear invisible in the night ninjaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......wax on......wax off.

Mid-blue sounds wicked, I'm a big fan of blue as i'm sure anyone can tell when they see my bike, clothing, half the shit I own, haha. By the way I read a page or two back and noticed your suffering with back problems mate, i'm not a doctor, but I used to do alot of powerlifting, stopped a few months back due to lazyness, but I know alot of strongmen/women swear by these:
http://sport.rehband.com/Products.aspx?m=3529&a=3833
for day to day use for back injuries to give added support and relief, may be of some help as it offers a degree of flexibility and comfort compared to a hardcore weightlifters belt.

after reading back a couple of pages I realise I saw the guy known as object with that really nice bag a little while back going into brick lane bikes, beautifully made bit of kit, are you taking orders for bags again yet ? I'm also interested in a ninja hip bag and one of those chain covers, I don't mind a long wait at all.

GuerillaPhoto you would be better off parking local to Brick Lane/Shoreditch
(where we are starting and finishing) as there are no permit/pay and display restrictions after 6:30pm and they don't kick back in again until 9:30am in the morning, there are loads of places to park and then its less of a ride back after the ride is done. I work about a 1 minutes walk from Brick Lane so if anyone wants to go for a couple of some pre-ride dinner early on and some beers let me know, as I'll be dossing around the area before hand for a bit. -
Hey guys i'm looking for someone to enter this with, i've got an SLR with quick draw holster so the photo side of things is sorted, hit me up with a PM if you wanna roll with me
