i can't play in the manchester tournament but i am free for the all the others and considering berlin.
so i'm a free agent if anyone is putting teams together for the other tournaments...
suggested team name: T.F.U.
Daisy: What does "T.F.U" stand for?
Tim: Uh... The Fuckest Upest.yeh im down for team tfu - though also cant play the manchester tourney - i suppose that being team htfu is too much of a cliche right?

hey what do people think about making it a saturday? then it doesn't matter about ris clashing or whatever? if it's a pain to do it saturday then it's fine we can alternate.
otherwise what about a nice short 30-40 mile ride round cheshire way (flat) on Saturday 7th. We could even meet at noon for rides that won't take too long like that, extra time to nurse hangover and eat breakfast etc.
after chatting to some people at mass last night we are thinking of doing it quite like a timetrial so that we are racing ourselves not each other so that it doesn't feel too competitive/so slower people can improve their own time but not kill themselves trying to keep up or not come for fear they can't keep up..what dya think? i dunno, it might be good to start like this until everyone's fitness/speed is up and then we can stick together???
yep im up for saturdays, 30/40miles sounds nice, should hopefully have enough energy left to get binged in the evening, and yes the noon meeting time is a good idea!

if the armitage is lit up as ste says then im happy to get there early with a broom and help deglass the place - might see if a wiry broom is cheap from sainsburys
whos up for petitioning the council to repave the whitworth park surface? cause as snoops says it is otherwise the perfect place. even with moss shovelling etc its still gonna be pretty slippy.....

just my 2pence worth but....im ok for this sunday but dont know if its worth putting it down as that on any posters as yet because:
1 we may have opposition from basketballers - fuck playing at whitworth park, its dangerous!
2 sunday is hangover recovery day for most and im not so sure that many people would reliably turn up (me definately included!!) every sundayhow about just putting thursday and then if new people wanna show they can come down on thursday and will find out if there are any other days?

just to say ive got one of the steel archies and its a great ride. ive had it for around 9 months and it rides fantastically, and has taken a helluva beating . I use raked forks so never tried the archie ones but cant say enough good things about the frame.
one small issue is that i run a goldtech rear hub (700c wheels, not 26 speedway ones) and have to stretch the dropouts a little to get the wheel back in, that aside, its a brilliant little frame, cheap as anything and I would recommend to anyone
