I've resisted posting pictures for a while. Mainly because of the fear of showing my ride and my face for that matter, I know how harsh you all are on here. Anyway, it's 2009 and I think I can brave the repercussions. It's an off the shelf 2007 Bianchi Pista, with the usual and expected, for a novice, after sales additions. All put together by Paul at Kiwi Cycles.

OK, so potentially not bike porn, perhaps engineering porn.

i rock armadillos front and back (second set). riding from lower clapton to maida vale, through dirty camden, via holloway road, on a daily basis. they're hard as hell, incredibly slippy in the wet, and in the dry, riding brake free, the rear tends to glide across the tarmac, but i haven't had a puncture since like last august and i've only skidded into the back of one car, due to their non grip qualities. they're also a bit fat (23 – 25), if you're sporting a fancy, low clearance frame, you may struggle with them. i've noticed i'm not really selling them here. however, they are pretty good at keeping the glass out.

deadly fanny pack seems to have the art of falling off down to a science, well done there. myself however, i generally fall off at traffic lights. once stationary, i'm usually too busy looking about the place, forgetting i have a foot strapped in. one look too many over the left shoulder, the weight of the bag pulls to the right, can't get the foot out. bollocks. on the floor in front of the traffic. it's always better with an audience i find!

Make that three.
Actually, not everything. When I think about it I did pay the bank over £13,000 in interest on my mortgage, which it would appear, they promptly pissed right up the wall, along with everyone else's hard earned money. Well done them. Maybe Gordon will lend me some cash for the Sugino crank I'm after?

Cheers Pifko. I didn't initially think the saddle copper vs frame silver combination was going to work. And it kind of doesn't, which I quite like.
