So i went over to a friends house to watch some television (as i don't own one) and met up with this girl we knew (you may remember her from my last snowy ride). a few days ago i did some work to her bike for her while we ate ice cream.
we started to lay about watching television and talking about shitty bands and iceland and where we should go for our big spring ride and such. then we started watching a movie and the girl and i started to kind of curl up nice and close and she fell asleep with her head on my shoulder all cute and what ever. the movie was over and i got up and bothered my friend took a piss, got dressed to brave the 17° weather back to my apartment about mile down the road. then i realised our friend was getting up and i asked if she was waling home or staying. she said she was walking, so i said hey i'll walk my bike with you. she said no, shes going to run.
i took my bike out to the porch and took my time, then started to ride up the road. then not a block down i passed her and stopped and walked with her. i gave her my gloves and offered my scarf. because i'm sweet. she declined the scarf and we walked and talked and made lewd jokes. as we got to her apartment she bruhed my arm and said thanks for walking and gave me a hug. i figured fuck maybe this was my chance so i shifted my weight to move so i could perhaps attempt to kiss her and my cleat slipped on the ice and i knocked her on her ass on the porch and took a chuck of skin out of my for arm on the banister and hit my nose on her head or shoulder or something.
i had a nice ride home with a bloody arm and nose.
fuck. my. life.
at least i got my gloves back...

Otherwise, this is stuff to guzzle in the summer afternoons, winter-nights, or like me, first thing in the morning,
as mouthwash and aftershave.Anybody brave enough to admit to liking "tramp juice"?
I ain't got no shame. And I ain't got no godammed champagne.
**Motto: **
**Must be cheap. Must be strong. **My favourite is Kestrel Super.........so far.
I used to like St Ides malt liquor, which I think was 8.0%. Most malt liquors in Florida are in the 6% area, though. Colt 45 is decent, as is Mickey's Big Mouth.
Edit: although far too 'posh' to be called 'tramp juice,' the beers from Unibroue like La Fin du Monde are quite tasty.

I like PBR... When did it become a hipster drink? I've been drinking it since I first went to the States in the 90s... Cheap and bloody good when they're ice cold on a blistering hot day... Long neck of course, crap out of a can... Not keen on the draught either...
I prefer it out of the can! Same with Budweiser, too.

A track bike is a bike that can be used on the track which could be a range of geometry. As long as the BB is high enough to be allowed on a track then fine. The Fuji doesn't come with brakes, has a track based fixed gearing and a higher BB than a road bike so to me would suggest it is for a track. Not sure why it needs to look a certain way?
I was mainly referring to the front fork and the bb height. That said, I can see from the picture that was posted that the bb is higher than I remembered.

It all comes down to your own personal preference and when you're splashing out on a luxioury good like a trendy 'fixie' you'll choose your ignorant gut feeling over any good advice anyone can give you. So choose and enjoy.
What does this have to do with me? I asked a serious question. Sorry if I ruffled your feathers or whatever. LeMond calls the Fillmore a track bike (or used to, back when they had a website), but I wouldn't call it one. I did all sorts of research before I bought a bike. So I wouldn't say I went on an 'ignorant gut feeling.'

I have no idea what the deal is with PBR but it seems to be hypercool in That America by all accounts.
I think it has something to do with irony. Or hipsters co-opting American 'working class' cultural signifiers, like trucker caps and whatnot. As a beer goes, it's not bad. If, by 'not bad,' you mean 'not bad if you like the taste of American-style lagers.' I still prefer Budweiser.
