Vitalic's - Polkamatic track is my ringtone. I fucking love this track.
I am now mortally disappointed with the origins of your username.Sorry to let you down. That was a typo. I meant to say it was a tribute to some band I've never heard called 'Polkamatic.'
Edit: I meant some song called 'Polkamatic'

I like those Orlowski frames and considered getting one. I might still. But I've also thought about maybe getting a Bob Jackson b/c he uses oversized tubing (I believe) for larger sized frames. And I'm really fucking tall.
The only Orlowski frames I've ever seen look like the ones in the picture Hippy posted.

Mine started out as a joke on Mantronix. A friend and I were talking about how a lot of early hip hop/rap/electro whatever artists had cool names that sometimes also sounded kinda lame. Polkatronixx was a joke name for me because I am really 'white' and my Father was raised by his Polish grandparents. Pre-dated my much better hip hop nickname, 3 1/2 Floppy A.

During a conversation with a mate this topic came up, neither of us, during our 20 years alive, have seen a baby/young pigeon! All the pigeons you see are full-sized..
Where the hell are the baby-pigeons? I mean, maybe they're in nests, but to never have seen one is somewhat strange..
I used to have a pigeon family on my balcony. They laid an egg and we watched it hatch and grow up... and then cry all the fucking time and shit everywhere. So when it (finally) was able to fly, I boarded up the gaps to keep the pigeons off the porch. I also had to throw a couple of new eggs off the edge, because I wasn't going to deal with all that again.

a quick update,
i've now wrapped it with some cloth rim tape and secured it with insulation tape to stop the lock vibrating against the frame itself, and it is now completely silent.
No problems at all with it.
I know its only a few simple velcro straps, nothing revolutionary, but it works perfectly and gets that dead weight away from my body. Very pleased with it.i should note that on the U-bend part i layered the cloth tape to about 5 layers thick then secured it with the insulation tape.
That's pretty cool. Great idea!

Damn, you're leggy! Nice bike, though. It also occurred to me that my saddle might make my seatpost shorter... I have the stock one that came with the bike, and it's a lot fatter than yours. Anyway, I am in the process of changing a bunch of stuff on the bike and will post pics in a few weeks when it's done. Then you can see for yourself!

how tall are you? 6'6"? i'm 6'5" and my saddle is this high (60cm frame):
a few height challenged people have said its too high or looks ridiculous.. i agree.. but its perfect :)
Maybe I'm a bit taller in the torso than you, b/c my seatpost is a little lower than yours. Not much, though. Of course, my bike is 61cm and has a higher stand over height than yours (I'm assuming your is a Fuji).

yes. but is that really such a bad thing to say about that bike when it's obviously too small? maybe i should have been extra helpful and given a number of a chiropractor or physio
Fair enough. But those of us who are freakishly tall (I'm 6'6") can't find bikes that fit us very easily. I could get one custom, sure, but I haven't the money (yet).
It sucks.

It was an easy sell for me. I lived in a lot of places when I was really young (Athens, D.C.), but I spent most of my life in a fairly large city with a really small-town mindset (Jacksonville, FL), always wishing I could be somewhere that 'mattered' and where stuff actually happened. And, growing up in the 80s and watching lots of MTV, London always seemed really 'cool' or something. Plus, Americans love London. Anyway, I visited in 2005 and wished I could live here one day, but knew I probably never would. But I ended up here less than a year and a half later. I love all the options for everything (food, shopping, entertainment). I love the fact that London has such a diverse population. I love the sense of history (like the fact that the road around the corner from my flat has been there since Roman times). The weather's not great, but the summers are lovely and I appreciate actually having seasons (something that you don't get in Florida).
I've only been here a little over two years now, but I'd have a hard time moving away. Almost anything would seem like a 'step down' to me. Maybe not NYC. But London's so much closer to so many things... NYC is all the way across the Atlantic.

Whichever poor sod buys that bike is going to get so much abuse from forumengers riding past.
"What make is that frame mate?"
"Oh it's a...swagger...I think"
"Wankerrrrr"However even a precursory google for Swagger Bikes give the classic LFGSS thread as top 2 hits, so whoever does buy it is bringing it one themselves, I guess.
Does OnOneLangster build the frames for Swagger bikes, or does he just take old frames and paint them and build new bikes and brand them 'Swagger?'

Just added the brake from my broken Rourkie as I've had a couple of scary incidents following both my girlfriend and my housemate, who both ride erratically. I still haven't used it though and will probably take it off again.
This is my finished 'proper' bike. I say 'proper' because my Brian Rourke is like a child's toy.
Wifey's Caprice in the background, as rebuilt and restored by moi.
God that came out well! Good job!
Just did a quick check on Wikipedia, and it said that all the sounds on his album were synthesised. If so, that's pretty cool, b/c the strings sounded very 'real' in that youtube clip. I might actually check for more of his stuff to see what it's like.
