I would, but I'm Dutch anyway. :D Looks like you've got pressed-in industrial bearings there and the only option is to smack them out and then replace them - use a rubber hammer for this and smack the axle. I'd only do that if you're having problems with them though, otherwise just leave them there. What brand is the bike anyway?
It's a Batavus Flying Dutchman, trying to work out an age on it at the moment, but not getting very far.....
Single speed, coaster brake on the back.
Looks a bit like this (but now in lots of pieces!
Does anyone know if Armourtex will spray the bike with the bottom bracket still in?

Hi,
This is my 8 millionith question on this damn Dutch bike I am building my girlfriend for Christmas. Have just removed the cranks, and am now looking at the bottom bracket, but can't work out how the hell I am meant to remove it!
It doesn't look like a sealed cartridge or cone & cup one, and cant see anyway of getting it out, anyone got any ideas how? Perleaseeeeee??
It is 68mm wide and has France written on it....

Have just bought my girlfriend a bike for Xmas, and it came with a pretty beaten up sprung saddle, as you can see it used to have a plate on the back of it....
My question is, is there anyway of telling if this is a Brooks? and is there anywhere that will repair it? And does it have any value?
Lots of question, but any advice is appreciated!

Having a bit of a nightmare puncture wise at the moment, have had three punctures in the last two weeks, one staple and two bits of glass going straight through my tyre....
At the moment I am running a Schwalbe Lugano, want to keep to a fairly tight budget (building a bike for the girlfriend for xmas is more expensive than first planned...) Have seen the Schwalbe Marathon Plus pretty cheap, and was wondering what these are like for puncture resistance? As they are a bit chunkier thought they might be a good option?
If I get another puncture on the Wandsworth road, I am going "Falling Down" on someone
Indeed, are you from down there?
