so my birds bike was nicked the other week from behind our flat...
a really nice early 70s motobecane singlespeed tourer in blue- lovely bike locked with a piece of poo lock.
the only satisfaction i get from this act of theft is that in my usual procrastinating way I hadn't bothered to change the cranks from the 178mm stronglights i put on in a moment of madness. point being, when the horrible little cunt who took it tries to take his first corner at speed and doesnt keep his foot up hes gonna have himself a very nasty misfortune.... come on karma -

so i was given an old peugeot ladies frame which im planning on building up as a beater for my girl...
im not sure what size wheels to get. i want to fit decent modernish brakes and have measured my dura ace calipers, it gives a drop of 40-50mm.
the drop with a 700 rim is 70mm which would suggest i need 28'' rim, i cant find 28'' rims anywhere so im beginning to think i need to look into different brakes with a deeper drop.
is this the right way to go about things?
any advice would be appreciated

shes so close to having it finished... all she needs is the LEFT SIDE SPOON HANDLE BRAKE LEVER.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
shes done a hell of a job on this bike and id love to see it complete.
