I see, that makes sense. Thanks @yoav
I have a modern front mech that i'd like to use on this bike.
So i guess my two options are:
Modify the cable guide so it's just for the front mech and run it bare around the BB.
Or get some sort of clamp on cable stop and fit it on the seat tube.
What would you recommend?
Cheers

Right, I'm confused...I can't understand how the cables are meant to route around the bottom bracket.
See photo below-In the housing? Or if out of the housing and in a guide then the hole isnt tapped, which is fine because I can stick it with double tape...
...but the way the cable stops on the down tube and chain stays are for the rear mech looks like it should be in the housing, but if that's the case what should I do for the front mech, just have the housing stop on the cable? Or just modify the guide so it's just for the front mech?
Hope that makes sense.
Cheers

Am building a tourer with a front disc, and bar end shifters, so need a front brake lever that only operates the disc.
Have found these
But can't find much written about them, nor any alternatives. Anyone got experience of them? Or something else that offers same functionality?
Thanks

@conquistador - thanks, looks nice, but I think it'll be a touch small. gf is 168cm tall...where are you based?
@deasuk2013 - presume the gears on the bike aren't indexed are they?
cheers guys.

Will be for a road bike with a 9speed cassette - will i need additional spacers on the hub? If so, do you sell them?
Thanks!

Want to have a bike without panniers and a racier geometry to start getting into longer rides as the summer approaches.
Have so far investigated older caads but I'm not necessarily looking for anything in particular. £300 or so budget but prepared to go higher for the right bike. Want a 105 groupset and above. Modern (as in stis etc) bike preferred.
I'm around 6'2 with a 33 inside leg so have been working on the presumption a 58cm frame would be good, but it's been so damn long since I've bought a bike that I could well be wrong - any advice greatly appreciated.
Am ok at fixing and fettling so something that needs a bit of tlc would be fine - but ideally it'll be well looked after and ready to ride. Realise I may be asking for too much for money available...
Is that bike I'm looking for sitting looking forlorn in your garage/hallway/bedroom - wouldn't you rather have cash in hand and spend it on your number 1 bike/outfit/casino? If so, get in touch...
Cheers!
Thanks - ordinarily i think that would be too small for me...
...but how tall are you two?
The closer it gets to the weekend, the more tempted i am. Where are you in London?
