Two weeks ago...
Properly: When a car turned left into me when I was in line with the passenger door and nudged me off my bike. Tore my gloves, ripped my favourite jeans (Note To Self FTW!) and grazed my knee and elbow. Somehow my arm-warmers survived. The night before that...
Mucking about: Skidding through a puddle in a polished concrete car park, then trying to turn pretty much straight afterwards... wet front wheel + polished concrete + sharp turn = fail. -
It's pretty ironic though... I spend ages tuning my bike to get it as quiet as possible (and constantly scare peds), and now you're complaining about cars being too quiet and "sneaking" up on you
When I did visit London though, I found it extremely annoying trying to have a normal conversation whilst trying to walk down the street. Bloody buses are way too loud.

It's on the Arkitp / MASH blog now. Good work.

That would look sooooo much better without the spok and with a rear wheel to match the front.
I'd also probably loose the risers, they look wrong with that stem and go for some drops
Well I do have a matching rear wheel, but the Aerospoke is fun. I've put a black front tyre on to match the rear since this pic was taken. I also have a nice Cinelli stem and Cinelli Pista bars, but I don't like riding on the street with drops.
Whats wrong with the stem and risers combo?

Although I read that on an ex-pat site rather than the Emirates site. Their site doesn't mention the dimensions of checked baggage. So I should be OK with a bike bag/box.
At least you got plenty of shops near you where you can get a bike box easily enough. Although catching the tube with it is another story...

Still need to figure out the bike issue. Total luggage allowance is 20kg and the dimensions Height, width and length of bag can only add up to total of 157cm apparently. a bike bag/box is going to bigger than that looking at the dimmensions of some online.
Really? wow.
Mandy's frame was couriered interstate in a cardboard BMX box. You could fit a track frame in one of those pretty easily... but yeah, a whole bike pulled apart might be a bit of a mission to fit in a 157cm square box. Especially with a wheelset.
