I have some Sidi road shoes that look pretty much like Dominators. They can fit SPD / ATAC style cleats and Look-style cleats, but they're road shoes, not MTB shoes so they have pretty much no traction. I'm currently using Look Delta pedals and cleats on my road bike, but I want to swap to Time ATAC on my road bike and one of my street tarck bikes.
Does anyone know if the Shiman pontoons work on Sidi shoes? I don't want to buy a new pair of shoes, and I'd like to have some clipless shoes I can actually walk in. Also, do the "pontoons" work with Time ATAC's?
I DAFSFFS on "pontoons" (I know I saw a thread on here about them), but couldn't find anything.

Has anyone heard of Albini (no, not Steve of Big Black / Rapeman / Shellac / Electrical Audio fame)?
I picked up a road frame off Italian ebay for my wife. Got it delivered today (only 5 days to Australia! Amazing). Columbus fork ends and drop outs, I'm assuming Columbus tubing, amazing paint (pearl white with three colour fade). All it has is ALBINI on the downtube and an A on the head tube. I made her buy it because I'm a fan of the bands Steve Albini has been in / is in and she wanted a vintage steel road frame and this was her size.
Googling Albini is pretty hard, all I came across is this: http://bikeraceinfo.com/giro/giro1913.html and the name Pierini Albini, which leads to this... http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierino_Albini
Any other details?

Built the Ciombola frankenrat from 'graveyard' parts from work. The only new parts are the 16 spokes in the front wheel, The rest was going to be scrapped. The ksyrium on the back has a microscopic crack in the rim, but it's fine for hacking down to the shops.
The bars are great for bunny hopping! It has a 5 speed cassette (the smallest 5 sprockets from a 10 speed), and the long cable is for bar spins.
Nice to see a Ciombola in London (I'm assuming).
Ciombola were all built by Wayne Roberts, father of Luke (ex CSC, currently on the pro market and rising for UniSA team in the TDU) who stopped building frames about three years ago.
Ciombola were nearly all sold through Trak Cycles AFAIK, certainly later in the marquee's life, as a sort of 'in house' upper end brand.
Wayne was last heard of welding and building caravans somewhere in the Adelaide Hills. -

I've been called out before on a chain that appeared slack to me and apparently wasn't, although I wasn't informed why.
But that attitude of yours can fuck off regardless of whether your 15 or 80, knowledgable in all things bike, or not.
This is porn, not a group treatise on the mechanical differences of slack/tight chains. It looks less aesthetically pleasing, tighten the fucking chain.P.s. if that is your bike in your profile pic, with risers and spokk to boot, you can definitely just GTFO you stupid fixie kid
Ha! I forgot about that picture.
Anyway, I'll keep my mouth shut now. One last thing, tightening a chain because it looks better in a photo is just plain dumb.

I've used one since the start of 2010 with no problems.
I don't "trick" though.
