Because people can't read a few posts above them...
Just got this email from Armourtex if anyone is interested in latest prices / info:
Armourtex cycles is now open,we have a fully equipped cycle shop offering spares and our own new custom built bikes, also repair bays with fully trained mechanics that will do everything from a full strip down (for respray) to removal of small parts that you may find difficult i.e.. bottom bracket or head set.

*The charges for strip down, service ,Punctures or other repairs to bicycles are available from our shop manager 0208 986 2028.*The powder coating charges are as follows:
We will remove all the old paint, shot blast, prep and mask your frame prior to powder coating.
The prices including vat are as follows Steel frames are £59.25 or £75.25 with a further powder coated Lacquer.
Aluminium prices are slightly more £65.50 and £82.00. We do a few more expensive colours or metallic lacquer which cost more.
Should you require extra components powder coated the same colour as the frame and forks then they will be priced up per item i.e a seat post would be £6.00, if you want additional components in a different colour then the price will be an extra £49 as this is our min charge per colour.
The advantages of having a lacquer coat on the frame are that it will look nicer and be easier to keep clean, the lacquer is also quite hard wearing. You can not have decals put under the lacquer coat as this also requires heat to cure.
The turn around times for steel frames is usually 3 working days, Aluminium frames are 5 days. there is no need to phone and pre book, just come to our reception any time Monday to Friday am to pm, or on a Saturday 10am to 4pm.
Further information and an RAL colour chart can be found on our web site www.armourtexltd.co.uk . We do not stock all RAL colours but our range is quite extensive and we have samples on display in our cycle shop to help you with your colour selection.
You can send your frame to us with all instructions and contact details we will return your frame by courier once paid for in full. (courier charges to most uk locations are currently £20 +vat)

After reading this thread I rigged up a ghetto bikepack seat pack for an overnight trip (staying in a pub) this weekend. I plan to ride in a Lycra kit, so I needed a change of clothes, plus shoes and other stuff. I've managed to fit jeans, jumper/sweater, t-shirt, underwear, shoes, toiletries, small towel and tools in this small back pack and strapped it to my seat post and saddle rails. I also used a small cargo net for added security. Pretty happy with the results.
I totally stole the idea from this bike...

I don't understand why you'd buy those Paul cranks.
One piece cranks, one chainring size, expensive as fuck, and seriously ugly.
I just don't get it!Sure, they're ugly, but you can change the chainrings.
Chain rings are available in two different patterns and six different sizes. 32, 34, 36, 39, 46 and 48 tooth rings are available in our Circles pattern, while 46 and 48 tooth rings are also available in our "Royal Flush" suit of cards pattern.

I have a Heuvelmans cyclocross frame that I bought off a friend who bought it off here. It's got Campy drop outs and fork ends and Reynolds 531 decals on the fork. It has no water bottle braze ons, but does have mudguard eyelets (front and rear), but there's no way to attach mudguards, because the forks aren't drilled for brake, and nor is the rear brake bidge. It obviously has canti bosses. Takes a 26.8mm seat post. Any idea what it is?
I'll take some more pics of lugs etc tonight.
