My first build. I say 'build', I bought most of it whole and only needed a few other bits. Yes, it's horrifically ugly. Yes, the back wheel isn't my first choice of colour.

However, it took me 24hours to go from no bike, to bike, on a crazy small budget.

Not bad first build on a budget. Please put some clips and straps on though...

dolan pre-cursa is supposed to be quite nice as well and sits in your budget as well.

yeah i agree, maybe we can do an extra LCF stop instead as they arnt completely out of the way.

Also i thought the pace of the last ride wasnt that fast at all, people just need to stick together when RLJ'ing

Id have thought it much stronger to have 3x surely?

Also question:

Is it better to tension the spokes tighter than one normally would for general cycling? would it make it stiffer/ stronger? I have recently been getting quite a few really loose spokes and was wondering whether it was from the extra pounding they get?
