I've been using my old Garmin Etrex yellow for recording routes lately, but finding that it's somehow interfering with my bike computer, which is tres annoying.
As for iPhone, I downloaded the Navigon app to try out the turn by turn routing on the 3GS the other day but reckon I'm gonna need an armband or a handlebar mount as it won't' keep a signal in the jersey pocket.

Yep, it was the end of the 'Attack of the Fifty Fixed Women' ride, which I popped along to since it's the end of my road, and a couple of other 'blokies' joined in too. I think i only saw one capable looking fixed rider, so it must have been you....white bike with blue if my photographic memory serves?
That'll explain it then!
I was on a black Touche SS. I was also wearing lycra so was probably categorised as 'nodder' rather than 'capable looking fixed rider.'

mega blood in an UFC fight, looks like a murder scence, even the commentator says so.

Nice one, heard Rogan and Goldberg commenting on that on the main show but hadn't sourced the prelim fight yet.
I'm a big MMA fan BTW, good times lately, plenty of stuff happening as well as UFC (strikeforce, DREAM, affliction etc)

My girlfriend's sis being knocked off her fixie-bike at Herne Hill intersectionthis morning... No damage done but still shook her up a bit... I'm amazed that some of these people ever managed to pass their driving tests...
There's some proper numpties on that junction. I'm glad they're taking that bit of the park away to improve it, hope they get it right.

+1
I'd say they're doing exactly what they should be. Getting in front of a car so they can be seen and lead; getting out of the way of bikes coming down the left from behind, so they're not stuck next to cars that may want to turn; and getting in your way ;)
+1
Got stuck behind a Queue of hybrids today on kennington road while the ASL box was empty....

not always necessary thought, you still can dress up in work clothes and cycle to work on a bike like the Pashley.
Yup, this is true, I imagine a lot of folks want a multi-use bike though, that's why you see so many MTBs on the road - you can ride them to work and then round the park / countryside on the weekend.
I still wouldn't want to ride in my work clothes though especially in winter. Unless I was a pro cyclist, then it wouldn't be a problem

love how only when public transport stops working, people realize that they can ride their bikes.
To be fair, cycling is probably more of a hassle for a lot of people.
I'm lucky in that we
have shower, locker and changing facilities at work, and a locked room in the basement for bike storage.A lot of folk don't have these facilities. It's all very well saying people should ride to work, but a lot of big employers don't make it easy and for a lot of small ones it's not practical to provide facilities.

oh I see, so my dad going thro the miners strike was doing it all wrong, if only he sat down with that sensible Mrs Thatcher and chatted about it over a cup of tea then he wouldn't have had to put up with those nasty police charges
Sorry, should have made it clear I was talking specifically about RMT vs. LUL / TfL, not anything else.
Sounds awesomely awesome.
