reports say Spins did Dunwich. As for Stix?
Yes completed ! Woo the last 20 miles was like i was a small child
"Are we nearly there yet ,do you recognise any of this, how much longer ?" poor Noel .
But we made it, twas an awesome ride, one of the lights failed us an hour in but thanks to the royal mail we could see our way ! -
Chuckle. God, sorry, I didn't realise at all. I really can't hear anything when I'm riding other than wind noise so trying to DAS me is like trying to high-five a blind man. Four or five times, though, that's got to be some kind of record.
I also DASd a (stationary) ladies jersey at some crossroads somewhere after dawn had broken. I didn't recognise the wearer or her associate but hello all the same.
Hi that was Spins and I ,did shout you back later but the wind was probably blowing my voice in the other direction when we passed you and didnt hear us hello !
I may have been the death stare looking rough and tired by that point not intentional, apologies as well half asleep and not sure if it was me you das'd as I was on gears but wearing ladies jersey sorry !
First Dunwich and absolutely awesome was glad to see it through to the end , not feeling too bad today either.
Good times xI saw a load of people in forum caps - I shouted stuff about skids at some of you—none of you c*nts obliged (booo). Special mention to the ladies jersey wearer who gave me the deathstare for asking for a skid at about 160k. Fun times.
Who was the jersey wearing guy who borrowed Jay Gee's spoke key? Hope your wheel held up.

To all norths I would like to say a big thank you to those who came and supported at the Brighton marathon really meant a lot !
Also to everyone who was able to sponsor I have so far raised inc gift aid £1600 bloody amazing !
You lot believing that I could do it and all your encouragement :-)
Hope to be up tonight but sans bike as I am still feeling stiff.
I hope I am more mobile tomorrow as back to the bike and work.
Big thanks again Ladies and Gents xx -
Well done Ed thats a fantastic time !
And Tricity thats a brilliant time I was a little on the slower side of things. As at the 15 mile mark was desperate for the loo, should not have waited in line and done a Paula so lost time and then pace maker and took me another 3 miles to get my legs moving properly after that .
So i came in at 4.46
But bloody well did it, we all made the finish line woo hoo !!Must admit though am struggling with steps and stairs today :-).

I can't say I'm looking forward to it. Also people keep asking me things like 'so do you think you'll do it in sub 4 hours then?' at which point I start laughing hysterically.
I am assuming there will be other slow crap people there who are rubbish at running and only managed three training runs; if this isn't the case it's going to be quite embarrassing.
Seriously there will be loads of people at different paces.
I am no swifty eithier and to be able to complete it would be an amazing achievement.
I am trying not to stress about how long its going to take but to get to the finish line !
You will be fine and people say the last few miles is a mental, thing just will yourself on, thats what I found in my last few long runs .
You can do it !!x -
shit, I actually reached my sponsorship target and now have to cycle home :I
Really !!! Best of luck for Sunday I will try and keep an eye out for you amongst the many that will be there running .
I will be running for Sue Ryder so keep your eyes peeled :-)
I dont know about you but am feeling pretty nervous now sheeetttt !Good luck to your Dad and Brother Tiswas
And to Ed running in Paris !! Allez Allez!! -
Ok with exactly a week to go today i will still be running !!
Will be doing two more runs one tomorrow and Wednesday.
Anyone recommend how long I should make these ?
I was thinking 6-8 miles for tomorrow and 6 for Wednesday or none at all ....
For some reason I am starting to panic and well slightly nervous (gulp) ! -
Bloody hell Mikey. Look up the page mate, I only just mentioned it today.
I haven't organised anything even for the weekend cos I'm a fat lazy bastard who is so scared of hitting the big 30 that he's actively trying to push the date away with the power of his mind..
Or something like that.
Dont get too depressed about it really its only a number after all
I can tell you now you wont feel any different and will wonder what you were stressing about cheer up old man !! :-) x -
@stix.The boss girl who's on track for 245 marathon says
4 or 5 long runs before with at least one 24 in there.Agree with that, difficult to separate the mental from my training plan from the bits that make sense!
You want to familiarise yourself with 'hitting the wall' so you want to do it several times, if you can manage a run that takes you longer then your worst case time that would be brilliant, and the further you can manage the better as It will limit the amount of unknown in the marathon!
Thanks looks like I may just have to up by a few miles then for my next three long runs.
When I did the 19 on Sunday it didnt feel all that bad considering it was supposed to be 18 fail on watch reading so I know i can go further but just wondering when that sneaky wall is gonna come up and smack me in the face :-)
I think I might be able to push myself to 22 in training fingers crossed !
Just seen this. Such sad news , Dwayne was such a lovely guy a true gent .
Remember doing a forum ride to Southend with him a few years back good times.
RIP Dwayne x
