Not posted on here in a while.....been busy with the running and so far so good !
I am up to 19 miles in my training and my Marathon date is 15th April.
How many more long runs around this mark should i do before the final day ?
I know people say you never run the full thing as it is too much plus I dont want to over do it come race day and not have the stamina for the whole thing any tips ? -

i think i'm going to loose a toe nail....
has this happened to anyone else due to running and is the pain worse than death?
Ha yep my big toe is on its way out :( I thought it may be the fit of my shoes but like you say i reckon its due to the running .
And the others are feeling rather sore like they are bruised -
Er... how long does it take to get marathon fit? I think I've just signed up for the Brighton one in April but I've never actually run more than about 13 miles in one go before...
Hey Im doing this to ! If you fancy doing some training together let us know may help with the motivation !
But be warned I am running at a pretty casual pace only because I want to be able to finish it :) -

With your program then are you doing a run more or less everyday ?
Is this the average if training for a marathon ?Shit sorry too many questions I know :)

Well I completed my first 13mile run yesterday at an ambling pace of 2hours 10 minutes !
To be honest I didnt feel to great towards the end wether it was just fatigue but my inner thighs started to cramp up and my right foot the arch was really quite sore. But still i managed it and today I feel physically fine like I didnt do it.
I just hope the more longer runs I do eventually my body will get used to it and these aches and odd pains will go ?
Anyone who has done half marathons feel a little bit like crap after ? -

When i started running i started with the treadmill then gave up the gym and started outside.
It is so completely different as in i attempted running the distance i had been doing on the treadmill and it was so much harder.Went for my 8 mile run yesterday after my week of rest and managed it in 1hour 10 mins.
Shaving 10 minutes off my previous !
Slowly getting there only another 18 to go :)Any advice on running in icy snowy conditions for when we get the cold weather ?
Am a bit worried about falling and injury -
