In my never ending quest to wallow in nostalgia I've been relistening to old Adam & Joe whilst working from home. And it's been ace kudos to whoever collected all these.

I've just done this with my pixel 4a at iSmash. It's the second time I've used them for a battery replacement - first was with a pixel 2 that I gave to my brother and he's still using. I figured I'd try and run the 4a for as long as i can and given that battery life was the only issue it seemed worth trying for the sake of 35 quid *
Customer service was v good. The guy in store took a good look at my phone and warned me that there was a possibility of the screen cracking due to some minor hairline cracks - they have to suction cup the screen off to get to the battery. They won't accept liability if this happens but I thought it worth risking for the price. Fyi if this happens a screen replacement is possible but at £100 probably not worth it imo.
Battery life is noticeably better and definitely worth it imo. I might see if switching to lineage os brings any further improvements.
- If you book the appointments online but don't complete you will be emailed discount codes which knocked 10% off the headline battery replacement price of £40.

Bored on the train to London for work meetings tomorrow. Purchased from @ejay2.0 some time ago now so thought you'd appreciate a pic.

This is happening to me now but I'm the neighbour who is getting a lot of dust from next door getting the back of their house repointed.
They offered to pay to clean up once finished. I told them it's not really a problem as it's only dust and that I'd let them know if it was really becoming an issue.
So yeah I'd say they are being dicks but maybe at least offer to get the affected areas cleaned up.

Terry's was also based in York (although unfortunately not anymore).
When I was growing up as a kid everyone had friends or family who worked at one or the other and had stockpiles of misshapes that would get handed out.
It still smells of chocolate on certain days from rowntrees / nestle. No chocolate dust though sadly.

IR35 does not apply to sole traders.
The company you are working for should have determined your employment status at the start of your contract. I would speak to your accountant if you have one and follow up on the reasons you ate operating as a sole trader with the company you are contracted to as I'm pretty sure under the most recent legislation the responsibility / liability is theirs

I've never played Fallout but have greatly enjoyed the first 3 episodes and looking forward to watching the rest.
Was a bit wary as it's the same exec directors as Westworld (Jonathan Nolan / Lisa Joy) which fell off so hard after the superb first season. Really enjoying it so far though and they've done a great job on making the worldbuilding accessible for the non-gaming audience imo.

Feeling pretty chuffed with this mini haul from the local flea market this morning at £3:a record.
And to round off a lovely morning also picked up a cool Osibisa poster just before bumping into the forums own @General_Lucifer at his stall. Lovely to chat to your sir and I'll put a picture of both the poster and the fantastic puffer fish print I bought from you in the reprographics thread or the artists one. Top man 😀.

Yes I used Foresso for my kitchen spkashback. Was advised to order slightly over on the dimensions and the kitchen fitters then cut to size. It can basically be treated like wood. I ordered a couple of samples which was useful to see the material for the fitters and decide on colour choice for me.
When you put the calcs in it doesn't actually create the order immediately. You get an email from them and then correspond on the exact order. They are very helpful on the phone so I'd say give them a call if you're unsure.
I'm really happy with how it turned out - looks great as spkashback.

Jesus - I just googled Burberry prices myself. I was in the US in the early 00's with work and picked up a Kensington trench and a leather bomber for a combined price of about £400 at an outlet mall (at the time it was over $2 to the £).
They are rarely worn so now deciding whether to get rid or get them stated on the house insurance. Crazy prices.
EDIT: Just remembered they also chucked in a free merino scarf per coat. I gave the classic check one to a homeless guy at Crisis for Christmas - he seemed very nonplussed.

I can only echo this having done similar a couple of years ago.
In short here's what I learned:
It will take twice as long and potentially twice as much as you think.
To mitigate the above if the builders will do it get quotes for labour only. You will want to choose your own materials for most of the finish I'm guessing. You will be quoted for what the builders can supply as standard. This was hard to disentangle for me.
Pay that 15k for the project management. Mine was a bit less on a similar costed project. I think I saved this easily on the whole cost and more importantly the stress
This was for a full renovation of a 3 story Victorian terrace (not on London) including side return extension. It was just over 240k.
I was also in the position to live with family for the duration (12 - 14 months)
