I just called the police & said I was going to try & get the CCTV & they told me to relax & get better, it was their job & they have good chance of getting something as it's in The City what with terrorist threats and traffic cameras.
Leave the police to get the CCTV footage and you will never see it.
Guaranteed.
Ignore them, they have no legal powers to prevent you gathering evidence.

Why is it so cheap?
Powdercoating widely used, widely available easy to do, no drying times involved which makes it a relatively cheap process.
If I buy two spray cans (one colour and clear lack) I would already pay 30 swiss francs.....which is around the money I would pay in germany to powder coat it.
Two spray cans won't get you very far, a frame will take quite a few cans of colour and at least a couple of large cans of clear coat (depending on the result you are after).
Regardless of how well you wet spray something, even if you don't use cans and get it sprayed professionally, regardless of how well it's done it will never be as tough and hardwearing as powdercoat (tap a shop bought frame lightly with a spanner and you will have a small mark, tap your fridge (which if white will be powercoated) and it will be fine).
can I trust 'unknown' people, leave the frame to them and let them powdercoat it without problems? bad results?
How would anyone be able to answer that question !?
is powdercoat better in ANY way than spraypainting it? 100% chance that the powdercoat (no matter who does it) will be a much better result than any paintjob I would ever do?
When you spray paint a frame (or any part) you really need to do it properly or the paint will come off in a few weeks - you need to key the frame, prime the frame, do an undercoat (depending on your final colour) - many layers of the actual colour and at least a couple of layers of clear coat, between all these layers you need to 'rub back' the primer, paint, clear coat, to help adhesion.
Depending on what type of paint you use it will usually take a few weeks before the paint is fully hardened (a chemical process), it will be touch dry in 24 hours but not cured.
I would not recommend you build the frame up after spraying for at least two weeks, longer would be better.
Even when fully cured it's not too difficult to chip and scratch.
A powdercoated frame could be dropped off in the morning, picked up in the afternoon and built back up in the bike the same evening, no drying required, the paint is tough as the paint on your fridge, and the nature of the process means the finish is usually perfect.

1 - once i put the primer, should I use a very fine sandpaper or not? My idea is that the finer the paper is, the less 'rough' surface has the colour paint to stick on it....that means has no grip......?
Use a very very fine paper, just give the surface a light 'keying' - (you are not looking to remove any of the primer with the sand paper).

Really? I ask because they were showing footage of him being pushed down which I don't recall seeing before and the case still seemed to 'in progress'. It was alongside the kettling case.
The High Court ruling on kettling is not part of the inquest into Ian Tomlinson's death.
There is no case in progress, like I say the CPS decided no charges would be brought against Harwood last summer.
-
So they've said he's not guilty but there's an inquest to establish what exactly?
The CPS dropped the charges against PC Simon Harwood in July 2010, he's not on trial.
The inquest is a broad investigation to establish how and why Ian Tomlinson died as well as the police handling of the day, the investigation into his death, along with the various questions surrounding the pathologists findings and so on, basically a very broad review of everything that led up to his death, the death itself and all that followed.
If the inquest finds that the cop caused the injuries that killed Ian, does Ian's family get to start a new case against the cop?
I suppose they could bring a private prosecution, but it's very unlikely they would have the money.

I liked it, some good shots, although the preposterously long build up set you up for some mania that never arrived.
Seemed slow in places (this is Hollywood, abandon truth, speed it up by 33.33%)
