Conspiracy theory!
For what it's worth I think it's a great idea. I hope it works out.
You fucking bastard you are in on it too, who do you work for, I see you only have 2,565 posts and have only been on this forum for 2 years, what makes you think you have the right to express your own views so openly ?
-
It is fantastic that such a new member of our community feels welcome to express him/herself so openly on the forum.
Jesus, what is this, the fucking Politburo ?!?
I'd stick with arguing the issue itself and not busy yourself checking people's credentials and deciding who can say what based on some arbitrary measure.

@ Hiplok team, what precautions have you made to make the chain safe to wear around your body? is the material surrounding the chain padded? If I were to cycle to work on an icy morning, whilst wearing your product, and fall off due to the ice, can you ensure that the chain wrapped around my body would not harm me any more then the floor as I hit it?
I am genuinely concerned about the safety of your customers, I am not a "blog Hero". I have experience of 2 people not able to cycle now due to falling onto a chain worn around the waist whilst cycling. I also do not need to see your product in the flesh to understand the potential dangers that the Hiplok has.
Do you think someone would have a case against you if they were to break their back due to falling onto the first "wearable lock"?
I look forward to your response.
Grow up and take some basic responsibility for your actions, if you think this bicycle lock is going to threaten your well being then I suggest you steer clear of it.
That sounds like a tacit admission that you are aware that the Hiplok has the very real potential to cause serious injury.
Idiot.

He said it's unrealistic. Logistics. There's too many of them. Breed like flies those gays do. And if they're not breeding they're adopting.
Or going on about so called "civil partnerships" or dresses or perfume or handbags, it's no wonder Jesus and God* got pissed off with them and called for, what I consider, a perfectly reasonable cull.

I was refereeing to government view and attitudes, excepting some times of extremism far more than an other form of extremism, because it's an extreme view of their faith.
That persons illogical thoughts taken to an extreme is bad but a second persons illogical thoughts taken to an extremes are more expectable. This is because I am a member of that persons group, or I know many people who are part of that group. I hold the same illogical idea but don't take them to the extreme, I can see the cut off point of my illogical ideas, I know where the limit lies, this person doesn't. We have to be realistic, for example you see obviously when God says we should kill Gays that's unrealistic, it's a metaphor, it's taking it too far, we should just discourage it as it's unnatural. but they have a point.
It's hard to work out quite what you are saying here, it's not entirely clear.
As for the idea that Biblical and Koranic edicts, based on their respective religious texts, to 'kill gays' is 'unrealistic' and a metaphor - I think that is entirely wrong - it's not a metaphor, it's a command to kill homosexuals.
I agree that killing gays is 'taking it too far' (!) and it should be 'discouraged' - all excellent ideas.

YouTube - Who Is This Sad Chick Crazy Religious Girl Thanks God For The Japan Earthquake!
Link dead (Youtube account closed) - but here it is (mirrored elsewhere) . . .
It's incredible what religion has done to us - perhaps most fascinating is that she will undoubtedly believe she is voicing a benign world view, impervious to the idea that what separates her from someone who celebrates the drowning of a child is that the person holding a child's head under water does not presume a reward for their crime.
She is no less aroused and excited by loss of life than any other psychopath, but we label her crime 'faith'.
Awful stuff, religion laid naked.

The guy that mentioned the bikes not being locked up properly on the website is absolutely right - we were just trying to get some nice angles to show the product off, not trying to show how a bike should be locked. We hope that most people that buy them already know how to lock their bikes up properly.
Ignore him, it's internet, it's full of that kind of 'insight'.

Help I'm going to see a friend in north London on Friday can pass by on the way back early afternoon, this doable... Monitor should fit in the big bag..
Unscrew the 'foot' stand thing (two alan fixings and off it pops) - it then becomes a completely flat single piece 21" x 14" x 2" - so should fit easily into a good size bag.
Not very heavy at all.

anyone who thinks the BBC is impartial is deluded.
That's what Common Purpose want you to think, join the dots up . .
B B C
=
2 2 3
turn it backwards
3 2 2
triple each number
9 6 6
Starting to sound familiar yet ?
How many fingers do you have on each hand ? (I have four on one and three on the other, but let's assume the average is 5 for each human hand).
Take 5 off each of the two sixes.
=
9 1 1
So, with a little digging we can see that BBC = 9/11
WAKE UP!

Help! Did you actually read my original request. Part of the problem is that there doesn't seem to be any vision being sent to the monitor. May actually have to take the monitor in as well so they can test that.
Yes, I read your OP.
Could be anything, the power supply (you will be surprised the effects a defective PSU can have on a computer) - the motherboard, the hard drive, the monitor - etc etc.
A (known) working monitor would help determine where the problem lies.
I've got a couple of spare fully functioning Cinema displays sitting around - I am near Old Street roundabout.

you'd need £1000 of paid income you can use to buy it, i don't know many people who casually have £1000 laying around waiting to be spent.
The overwhelming majority, if not all, of those who consider themselves professional users of Adobe software will be able to afford the software.
A) What do you do for a living ?
B) I am a Cabbie, did the knowledge over 20 years ago, been doing this all my life.
A) Why haven't you got a cab, it must be a nightmare carrying around all those passengers on your back ?
B) You'd need XXXX of paid income you can use to buy or rent a cab, I don't know many people who casually have XXXX laying around waiting to be spent.
A) But London is full of blacks cabs.
B) Sorry can't stand around talking, got a fat woman going from WC1 to Harrow to sort out.

Would love to except I can't see anything on screen so have no idea whether it's doing anything or falling over when it boots up.
. . . . mmmm, you need a working monitor.
Would booting up from the original start up disks in target mode make sense..
It would make no sense, target mode bypasses the system OS and effectively turns your Mac into a hard drive - that you can then connect (via Firewire) to another computer like any other hard drive.
If you want access to the original start up disks simply insert them into your laptop.

Mr smyth that is far too forward thinking for mygoodself. Will sort that out for future variants of this machine, am actually thinking about claiming it back on my insurance if it can't be fixed..
Start up with your original installation disk, this will help you work out quite what is causing the problem.
No, it would be the curb.
