i did a work placement with ben wilson a year ago, i think it took them 2 years to talk brooks into making another white saddle, i know brooks were being very protective over what could and couldn't be done to the saddle e.g. no other logos were allowed to be stamped into the saddle or even added to the packaging hence the plastic sleve.

yeah iv got a torch at work iv been having some fun with it today but i think i got the wrong brazing rods from macays i asked for brass but i think it some thing else, it dosnt have a gold finish to it and its super brittle so im gonna have to get some from some ware else.
but i may risk it and do it myself. -

so i got some braising rods and flux today and had a bit of a play on some scrap steel ( i was toying with the idea of doing the drop outs myself) but i think i need a bit more/ a lot more practice before im at that stage so as soon as the drop out come threw my letter box ill drop them and the frame off with rick.

at the moment im working as a tutor on a foundation design course and as im sure your teachers have already said MAKE SURE YOU KEEP IT SIMPLE i would take some thing that already exists and change the ascetics e.g. handle bars (think of the recent hype over chris hoys bars) or toe clips (easy to manafacture a prototype as it would be simple bendig of sheet steel)
any ways you catch my drift.
im thinking some thing along these lines
