I have jsut got myself a single speed, and love it. Compared to geared the pleasure is noticable, it puts the joy back into cycling instead of the worry about what gear to be in, hills dont worry you because you know what is to come, as aposed to the belief in your head that it will be hard so put it in an easier gear. It means you are completely free to ride and not worry about anything else. Plus I have artheritus in one of my knees so until I have built up the strengh in that knee I cannot attempt to ride fixed

I think someone should get stickers made up that you can slap on the rear bumper of a car that has driven dangerously, then any other cyclists can take note to avoid that car, make it subtle but noticable to other riders.

Thanks for today dude, I picked up my Bowery today and absolutly love it, rode all day and found it comfortable and good for climbing the hills in Brighton as well as just cruising around.

hey new to the forum but know elvis. So he has conviced me to get myself a single speed so I pick up a giant Bowery from Pearsons on thursday, ok not the best bike in the world, but it is a start, and all I can afford what with paying for my uni course. I have just moved to Brighton and am studying a degree in Photography at Portsmouth but am only in once a week. Unfortunatly I could not find a job when I moved here so have ended up working at INKFISH (Yawn) dont judge me lol.

Anyway if u see me say hi I will be on the bowery with the mowhawk probably obliviously riding dangerously down the road as a bus slams into me.

oh and PS saw two guys riding fixies/ss today riding up the high street at around 4.45 one was a red bike and one black bike. was sooo tired today cant remember what the riders looked like but both male.

sorry I know I am new and know how annoying a question like this can be, but there are two sizes of risers one is 26 and one is 31.8 or something like that soo...... does anyone know which size I would need for my Bowery? I have heard u can use the smaller and then do the coke can trick is this possible as I can only get polished in 26.

I have had a good look at them and they seem like they would do the job, I would not dunk them in a river but I would ride in the rain with one on my back

ok yeah they are fugly but practical, I for one would not want to carry my laptop and camera gear in a non waterproof bag. but then again my G/F wont allow me to buy anymore bags lol

saw these bags the other day and thought I would show you guys they are of good quality dont know how comfortable but they are water tight and will hold a laptop
