I've got 700c wheels, 49cm BLB frame and 165 cranks....all like a few days old from finishing my first build (Peaches Greensleeves, been on the road 3 days, photos to follow..)
Was surprised and pissed off to be kicking my front tyre when crank at horizontal?
Is there anything I can do aside from getting 650 wheels?
Maybe I need to get smaller SPD shoes?

For sale I've got my front wheel for £40.
Silver Forumula 32h hub laced to a Alexa rim, silver as well. Tyre on it is a Specialized Kevlar Armadillo, 28c (black with red sidewall).
Both of these were from new, used for 4 weeks only, but that's 4 weeks only as some wnker rode over me and the bike. Small surface scratches to the rim where it hit the ground, but wheel is totally true and not damaged from the accident.
I'm only selling it as, being a bit porky, it doesn't fit my new frame.
Brake caliper is a silver tektro, same age as wheel, for £5
PM if interested.

i am an over eager fool it has to be said...got a bit more of a deal than the above, about £50 saved off that price, but still reckon if I'd waited for an online deal i could have got the black suginos for less than that...or I wish I'd have know about Toyko sooner, had no idea I was getting steadily pissed round the corner...
checked out Jos's stuff at TDV as well and would highly recommend, great guy....I however was looking for a slightly different bike to his great vintage items...more of a modern take with straight forks, no lugs etc...
almost finished the build and does look amazing, reckon will finish this eve...pics to follow

well the recession doesn't affect my team of 12 year old, crack addicted child prostitutes, supply and demand n all that, they work hard and i can afford the finer things....
i went in there thinking messenger chainset and bb, came out realising it MAY be a false economy...or i've been had....
i looked at the paul stuff, very sexy, about £180 in black i think? they'v got a fair bit in stock....

Sitting in the redchurch outside BLB...
After 1hr 40 of looking, discussions, options and bit of negotiation I'm about to buy
Cream BLB frame = £199 (price increased!)
Black Sugino 75 chainset = £265 (price fking increased!!!!)
Phil Wood BB = £105
Cane s8 headset = £30 - i think that's the only bargain?
Stem = £20
Soma tyre = £35So 600 hundred and the rest...rest of stuff is coming from my old bike...
Does that sound right...a decent deal? Well, guess I'm committed really, gone for a beer whilst they fit BB and headset.
So wise buy or shafted?

This is a small Charge Plug frame, in blue, I think that's about 52cm?
Rode the bike it for a month before getting knocked off and the rear wheel getting run over. The frame looks perfect barely a scratch, but I am told that it's misaligned about 1cm on the rear stays, so that the rear wheel points a little to the left.
I'm building my own new bike using some of the bits left, but if anyone wants the frame and forks then make me an offer.
Also, in need of a decent crankset, happy to make a swap.

he's a funny guy alright...and I don't think I'd have paid near £80 to see him...
the full story is that it's a friend of mine who bought them for her and the bf to go cuddle up and enjoy....
then he dumps her...
and she not being down with the interweb see asked me to sell em for her...which I've tried damn hard to, but most punters are saying thinking it's £40 for both of them and laughing in my face when I correct em
which is ironic really....
that said, if it sweetens the deal, I can do ya £40, one ticket and the company of an extremely fine but somewhat damaged female....

Price: £78 for both
I've got two tickets to see Bill Bailey tomorrow at 8pm, Gielgud Theatre.
I'm gutted to not be going, but I've got a major personal reason that even Bill can't solve...The cost price is £37.50 per ticket and I paid a £5 booking fee, so not making anything but my money back. They're in the stalls, row v, seats 22+23, so a good uninterrupted view.
Let me know ASAP if you're interested and I can meet you before hand tomorrow somewhere mutually convenient in London to exchange tickets for cash.

thanks mate, getting used to it now, it's only day 4 of riding the beast, but have done an awful lot of slow speed weaving through traffic...and some high speed, so getting the feel of pedal angle versus steering...
