Spent yesterday replacing the shitty bridge on my Squire classic vibe Tele with a Wilkinson compensated with brass saddles and new strings. Took me most of the day to get the intonation anywhere near correct and I'm still not convinced the B and E are right.
It's gotta be a compromise somewhat with strings sharing the same saddle? One is OK the other not so.
Next up, replace the tuners

Ha ha ha! Yeah I feel slightly the same way.
I think one of these would be pretty useful
"Plug guitar effects directly into the inputs or outputs of the mixing desk with the help of the Radial EXTC-SA interface. This creative studio tool also serves as a reamper, so besides functioning as a kind of effects loop for adding a little tremolo to the vocals, or a touch of vintage reverb to a saxophone, this little box can be set up to send recorded material back through an amp so the sound can be re-tweaked at any time. A balanced 6.35mm TRS jack input and an XLR input come fitted, while the unbalanced Hi-Z output provides an optimal signal for the pedals and the Blend pot on the front panel determines the effect amount."

Re-amp pedals. The concept is that when recording you can record straight in thru your mixer, then play the recording back through the re-amp pedal into an amp (including any FX pedals) and back in, then you can blend the two signals, so you're getting the good stuff from your amp, but you don't have to isolate it to record, is that right?
