Thought the last album he did was pretty good but not amazing.
I preferred the private press to entroducing, the album's sound had a consistent sound throughout.... I am probably talking out of my arse on this.

...and doing that will put the disk under severe load, finishing it off for good.
(Duplicating a disk will rarely solve a read problem and is not the best approach and it will crudely "stumble" over the data, ignoring any fragmented table allocations or partial data.)
Depends how mac does the backup, if it is a straight unix dd copy then yes it will fry the drive, if it ain't and it something like ddrescue then it will look for all the good stuff first and then try to recover the knackered sectors.

i have an external USB2 hard drive that is partly faulty (it still seems to spin up and access some data, but some is "missing" (so it's not completely farked). i use a mac, but the drive is formatted FAT32.
can anyone suggest cheap/free/wink wink software to try to recover the missing bits? most of the software i've seen can recover mac-formatted drives, but not FAT32 drives.
With a mac you can dd an image of the entire disk to another hardrive using the diskutils under settings.

Only picture I could find from when Aleksi and I went to TFG when Alex was interested in one of the 14 bikes. The lightning blue one is by them, not certain if the white was or not.
Would not touch them with a barge pole.

I tried booting it from another Mac, nothing, so it's a mechanical fault. Actually, it does click a bit and refuse to play.
Sometimes as long as the hardrive doesn't get to hot you can recover some stuff from it. Need to let it cool down and then try again. NOTE: This will only work 50% of the time and sooner or later it won't come back alive at all.

I had every Ice-T album copied onto cassettes.. Mildura didn't have a big hiphop following.. ahh happy days. :)
Funnily enough, all the the hip hop I used to have was on my mix cassettes my mate used to make up for me. He was the only person I knew that was into old school hip hop and had a pair of turntables...he used to spend every last penny he had on vinyl, we used to visit charity shops for random old vinyl with some electro/hip hop anything, those were the days.

Best thing is to introduce them to someone you know and they don't, and hope they supply their own name. This often works for me.
It could back fire when your friend says "Aren't you going to introduce us".

Best way of not getting your bike stolen is to have a really manky looking bike.

Me too. And all blokes look the same to me. I find all of this deeply embarrassing.
If a woman I knows drastically changes their hair e.g. dyes it from blonde to deep red or cut it from long to short, , I can't remember who they are, I just can't link it up, an I mean like several days worth of thinking "I dunno who they are".
I do the same with blokes as well, but I can blag it for a few minutes until remember because you can say the word "mate".

Stalls them for a few seconds..mind is now working overtime trying to work out who the hell they are....

Gives me about a minute.. I think I remember who they are... still not hundred percent sure.
