We should all buy one of those disc alarm locks that Clefty has got, I know I am. Think they would seriously stop loads of bike thefts as it just makes it incredibly difficult.

Might get three, one for each wheel and another for the crank. Brilliant.

This disc lock business seems to be the Business ! Love the idea of it making some thieving twat deaf and leaving your bike alone and moving on.

Clefty have you tried it when in a pub or something similar, can you hear it from in there when you're having fun ?

No more info on Carl. The pub (Scolts Head) where my stuff was stolen have had run ins with him.. Threatens to chuck bricks through their windows when they've tried to question him about various things that have gone walkies. He stole a bike out of the pubs back yard which was locked up behind a locked gate.

When I went to BLB to get them to write out a quote for my insurance which Jan did without hesitation they asked what had happened and where, they also mentioned a guy called Carl without any prompting from me...

So someone must know something about him.

I'm afraid you just can't lock your bike up outside in that area anymore. I did and mine got stolen too. Apparently there is a lad called Carl who I've been told on good authority is to blame for a lot of the stuff that goes missing around there.

Yes can fully recommend Arup, he builds fantastic wheels and is a great bloke to boot too. He build me a pair of H+Sons on Goldtec's and they were the most strong and true wheels I've ever rode on.

Managed to find a Campy Chorus for £35, decent price me thinks.

Edscoble assures me it's a 1" threadless so I'm going with that. Ordered a Campy Chorus 1'' threadless which gonna get my LBS to install properly. As the way I removed the old one was not very pretty.

So getting a Pista frame done at Armoutex (will post pics when get it back) and I've removed the headset cups without any special tools etc. Not sure which size to buy as the replacement ? Will be using the original forks.

Also any recommendations on what to buy replacement wise that not too much cash. Thinking £50 max.

Complete hot spot for bikes being stolen around there. Mind you whole of East London is to be fair. It's a real pisser that it's got to the stage where you just can't leave your bike locked up anymore. You have to keep it with you at all times.
