Hey Dutch Cheese, I was never certain, so youre probably right. The BB is an italian threaded cinelli SC and the drops are Gipimme, and the stay ends are very distingtive. The lugs look like gazelle lugs ive seen in the past, very long with long cutouts, and semi wrapped seat stays. What do you think it is then? Its a nice one way or anther...

Here is my Gazelle, they are OEM fork in the photo, i wasn't going to drill the beautiful track forks which are back on the machine now.http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3593/3524534099_10f9012db9_b.jpg

broken list:
1 frame
1 set of bars
1 ripped turbo saddle
1 pair of glasses
1 car doorNot broken list:
bones
teeth
laptop
wheels
not even my skin - i executed a perfect rollI have the gazelle, a big enough credit card bill and I'm building a frame from a reynolds 953 stainless tube set, so i think the cash is going in my pocket.

How much should the Alan Shorter be worth?
A columbus sl frame with campy ends by a well respected builder, you can hazard a guess. Ive had it for a few years now but the price of these things have shot up recently and then i exaggerated a bit and said 600, he didnt bat an eye, i think he expected the whole bike to be chucked not just the frame.

i'm familiar with NJS frame rape crisis. This is where i go to perve over Japanese steel.
It was a alan shorter track frame, number 62 from 1978, well it still is only now its got a creased downtube and a fractured top head lug. I did impulsively buy an early 80s chrome Gazelle Champion Mondial last week from Paris so its just like i sold the old one for a very good price.

I went for him lock in hand cos it took him a while to stop, but he was more shock up than me, got name, address, reg, numbers all that stuff. He rang me later for the bill and I'm meeting him tonight to pick up the cash. looks like im getting a new frame, bars, and specs. NJS you say... Is there any 6'2" kierin riders?

no bullshit: I got knocked off my bicycle yesterday, (awwww), some guy driving up against the back off a lorry turned right across me, but if i'd been wearing an aero lid i'd have been at least 2% further up the road and the whole thing could have been avoided, I'm buying one today.
That sad news is theres one less set of Nitto B123 bars in dublin now, guess im losing njs points.

its not one of those plastic head cover jobs, its a foam helmet with a spike out the back, for road time trials, plenty of protection in it. Road lids all look like they belong to one of the X-Men, still i suppose its better to wear one on your bike than in a wheel chair.
Whats this NJS wars malarkey?
-
speed is the most important thing, and theyre not "skinny jeans" theyre aero-jeans. Nah, it belongs to a mate, i personally think the aero lid is hilarious, its got to be taken with a pinch of salt, its better than wearing a skater lid and looking like an overgrown 12 year old for one.
I am gonna tell him.

so i was cycling to tesco about an hour ago and some clown threw an empty coke bottle at me from behind a wall/front porch! it was a pretty empty street and when i got off my bike and turned around to confront said offender, they had fled the scene.
i was pissed off because it bounced off my front wheel/fork, meaning the bit with the lid could have gotten caught in my spokes = road rash.
what a cheeky cunt!
anybody had a similar experience? forgive me if there is a thread about this type of incident!
Fanta fuckin bottle. with them 20 spoke wheels they really get stuck in there. ker-splat
