If you have deep rims or really hard tires, put as much as you can on with hands and add a little more air before resorting to levers. Put the lever under the bead, lift it level with the rim and then use a tipping motion (off the side of the lever) rather than cranking it straight over.
Also HTFU and use your hands.
I figured I'd get the obvious HTFU response, but i needed to use the lever for that last bit and it broke my heart to re-puncture my tube. But for peace of mind i thought I'd ask if I'm the only one to heve ever done this.
Puncture repair fail.

Since Wiggle have been completely useless for me... they get a -1.
I rate http://www.universalcycles.com but they're based in the States and are a pretty huge store. Not quite a Mom and Pop if you're into that. Postage is a lot but you save £££ on the actual items, I ordered a bunch of stuff from Soma and Surly from there that was half the price it was here. Delivery is a week to two weeks.
http://www.universalcycles.com have good stock however as they're not based in the UK the turnaround is a little slower and if your order is over 50 pounds you get landed with import tax. I've gotten a few surly part from them but after postage & tax you don't realy save any money.
I'd use http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/ if only for the large selection of sprockets

I've just finished patching up an old inner tube & upon fitting the tube and tire to the wheel i noticed a slow leek of air. I took out the inner tube again to realize that I'd punctured my tube when i was prying the clinchers on. Accidentally pinching the tube against the rim.
Back to square one.
Has anyone here had similar problems?

I've often been guilty of cycling in states where i can't walk but the cadence of my rolling bike & my own inertia keeps me on. I do get concerned for the those journeys where i don't remember getting home and have had to travel through many 1-way systems which I'm sure I've ignored along with a series of other rules, however i don't remember so can't fault myself when i wake up.
Recently getting drunk & doing time trials around my block is my latest drunk-idiot-on-a-bike passion.

Hay, Alister McGrath wrote a fantastic retort to Dawkins book called "The Dawkins Delusion?, subtitled *Atheist fundamentalism and the denial of the divine"...
*He exposes many of the flaws in Dawkins writings, while i'm on the side of Dawkins on this one an educated person would be advocated and see this very inteligent response:

do you ahve to get home insurance to insure a bicycle. bolllocks what if your going to be living in some dive student shared crap. POST ME if anyone got a room.
I've got a room. i sent you a pm. Agreeing with hippy bike specific insurence is expensive, maybe just always keep it inside? Art school these days requires you to have a nice bike.
Isn't that 'Scroobius Pip' being ironic on X factor? So not really a fail?
