Forgot about the track ends!

This was my first front brake single speed. Apart from a trials bike all have been front brake jobies. Only one head over bars incident on loose gravel, but you bounce when you're young.
Seems like a bit of a null argument/thread. Ride your bike the way you want to ride it, and respect the fact that others will want to ride theirs in a different manner to yourself. As long as no-ones pissing off anyone else, there's no problems.

bought them off him and tbh they are still in the box. so they will be the same but covered in bubble wrap :)

i spent Monday evening freezing my tits of in garage filling down the inside of the brake lever clamp cos it was too small. to even out all the scratches a i nitromors the whole lot then filled it all off. looks like i found it in a skip... :)

Hello got to clear out some stuff so

1) HHSB & Son formation face rim in white. 32h. still in the box never got round to lacing it up. looking to re-coup what i paid so 40£.

2) Some forks i bought off Rob but havn't used. They are nice 1" 700c race type forks. Inch threaded on top of 22.1 steerer. Again unused. 20£

Is it possible to attach an AHead style stem to a 1" fork?
Is there such a thing as 1" stem (ahead not quill).

Finding it difficult to track down a big die outside london's famous london.
A plumber friend of mine reckons he might be able to do it, though....will update if this turns out to be a viable solution

my lock cost more than my entire bike when i picked it up (down to the og frame, stem and drops) best investment, especially taking it round Europe. bike thieving is pretty much a pastime in Holland

What you have there is the crown race. Why do you want to remove this? It is an essential part of the headset assembly. Don't remove it unless you're replacing the headset, and therefore swapping out the crown race.

To remove it, simply invert the forks, get a hammer and a big screwdriver, and bang till it comes off.

its not the top lockring I'm stressing over. its a lockring (<--may be wrong term) that is on the fork. at the bottom of the headset
