How straight is your chainline and how round or centred is your chainring? Both can cause clicks and creaks from the drive train. Does it make a noise with the chain off?

Those Look frames are quite light and that's about it really. Not especially well made and lots of cranks hit the stays as they aren't well profiled.

You are talking about the old train line from MH to Northampton.I have done it recently but it is super popular now. Lots and lots of riders and a few frustrated walkers. I have to work Tuesday otherwise I'd join for some of that route.

+1 for a solution of baking 'soda' and water. Scrub the insides with this then let them dry out overnight. It should do the trick.

Those are disturbing pictures. I bought a helmet a while back after a couple of crashes so I tend to wear it now. Not that I like wearing it or feel that it is always needed.

Regal has a good rep for being comfortable. It comes down to the width of your sit bones so worth trying a few before you buy.

I have a silver 90mm Cinelli 1a that might suit size wise. That and some black or white bar tape would finish it off well. Gumwalls need to go on the list too.
