Just saw my old BMX! Was stolen over a year ago! It's an all black Wethepeople with one break, silver pedals and a 'Retribution' sticker on the handlebars! It was heading down Stokes Croft towards town as I was on my way home! Didn't really see the guy riding it and he was gone before I could do anything! If I had been on my bike I would have given chase! If anyone sees it about please let me know! I loved that bike! Thanks!

I started with a modern apprenticeship in printing. Worked at a local printers for a few years doing pre-press and a bit of design. Got to know a few people in the "industry" then got headhunted and I am now working a proper graphic designer for a multi national publishing company!
No university, no formal qualification aside from the apprenticeship but loads of experience. There is a lot to be said for the more vocational route. It certainly worked for me!

I work for the Institute of Physics and we had to issue a press release earlier in the week to assure people that the world would not end! Made BBC breakfast news (for what that's worth) and also the Guardian which is quite exciting for us! Needed Steven Hawkins this morning to enforce the point! Basically the force of a collision is about the same as two gnats running into each other! If that's enough to create a black hole we are all doomed! :-)

It will be kept and I will probably be abused but I'm quite used to it. At least if I decided to start something else I can do so at my leisure. At least I already have something to ride. Mind you there is always my BMX and that certainly isn't unipack!
Not quite sure of the size, it's pretty tall, could give you exacts another time? Wouldn't dare bar spin it tho!

Mate, I totally understand and completely agree, just feel a bit of an idiot as I should have researched things better before diving in. I guess I was far too eager and it seemed like an easy option, lesson learnt.
At least now I have a better idea of what to look for in future bikes plus its given me a taste (although somewhat bitter) of the joys of single speed/fixed existence.
Anybody want to buy a bike?

If it's getting new people to single speed and fixed gear riding as it is in my case I don't see the harm. You get the same in any aspect of bike riding... a budget introduction and something than can be upgraded and expanded. I knew what I was getting myself in to buying a bottom end bike. The frame itself seems pretty sound but I agree with other posts that some of the components leave a little to be desired. As for the comment that I am a nervous rider that certainly isn't true. I have been riding all sorts of bikes for most of my live and I'm very confident. Mind you knowing how most people drive in Bristol don't blame me for be a little wary! :-)
Ooops... forgot vital information... 120... Thanks!
