well, reports about the service is mixed, but i think generally if you're ordering a bike they have to be attentive and nice, really. if you're just in there slavering over a new spoke, like DB, then they probably don't have so much time for you.
personally i found the service pretty good.
if i were you i would stress the fact i was traveling a long way just to go there, and expect a bit of looking after.
Done. Man you are on fine form....ta

And comedy accents - don't forget the comedy accents.
"Kipper tie?"
"Bostin, two sugars please."That's quality. I moved up from Muswell Hill about ten years ago, and i still get stick for my faded accent... They have noooooooo idea:
Y'am goin' out on yer bike 'am yer? Y'am a nutter!......`freakin yam yam's

also best if you're not a balding bespectacled middle aged gent with his lycra shorts pulled up to the armpits, is to wear a nice tweed jacket and pipe. if you go in looking like a curryer, they'll treat u like dirt.
Reckon they'll spot an "out of towner" and do me up the wrong 'un? (do they charge extra for that down there?!) or is the service pretty good?

I reckon i'm understanding the initial frustration of newbie posts. The above thread is useful, and reckon that on signing up to this forum - a HUGE TICKBOX with "I accept to NOT ask questions, until i have studied the archives" should suffice...
However, i guess Nihmbus is right... we just want to have contact with like-minded people... God knows its all I crave. Here in Brum, all i have is Aston Villa season ticket holders with a penchant for Carrera bikes and strongbow. (Sigh) -

Yep thought about that, I like the Arione though. Perhaps its Physiology. The Arione is dead flat tip to tail whereas the Flite is kind of contoured.
I will have a go at the tipping the nose slightly then revert to the Flite if I have no joy.
Pay attention to stretching the hip flexors. Too much tension there brings the pelvis into anterior tilt, bringing the pubis down onto the saddle...

I have no teeth left...
Don't think that Transit Connect Vans are any less "lethal" than the full on Transit. Got clobbered a few days ago - found this site whilst healing.
Anyhow - need to get back onto a bike ASAP - got an offer of a Genesis Flyer at cycle surgery. Any opinions on how it rides compared to a pista frame?
Ta muchly,
P.S. Newbie alert......
I'm taking my bike over to the states and they have pretty strict rules about conforming to reflector strength standards. Can you tell me whether it comes with a reflecting strength rating?
^^ I couldn't help myself - i typed it through streams of tears.....
